Edit: I forgot, it comes with a great map tool aswell. Future workshop implementation for sharing community maps would be appreciated.

It's a neat little city builder for a fair price. The downsides are bad performance once you have more than 500 citizens, granted my PC is about two years old by now.

There is plenty of complexity to be had, slightly overwhelming when you try to make everything "perfect", so you'll be busy for a while mastering this. The card mechanics can pretty much be ignored, due to wild cards that let you build whatever you want. No workshop implementation means no mods. I still enjoy this game and hope for much development in the future.

It's not bad for the pricetag.

Very similar to banished, even in the way how to "win" the game, or better, not lose the game. The major difference to a modded banished are the three population classes, from pesant to gentry, which all have different luxury needs. It's also possible to enact decrees at the town center, which influence a few aspects of the game, helping out in the ever lasting balancing of all your peoples needs.

Right now, a few days after release, the game is getting a bit unstable (CTDs) once your population goes over thousand citizens, including children and students, so you'll notice this at around 500 workers, give or take. This should be (will be, maybe) patched eventually. Right now the devs have representaition on the forums, which is active and responsive. Multiple patches have been done since release.

So in summary, an indie dev with a banished-alike, with some ideas from Tropico mixed in, with a good pricetag. No microtransactions and DLC shenannigans (yet), no predatory monetization. Sure, take my money.

Edit: Many updates on a regular basis since release. Game is very stable now.

Great game all around, absolutely recommended for full price if you like tactical games (not only deck building). The music alone is worth the purchase.

It's a story driven deck building game with nice graphics and great atmosphere. I especially like the writing, it's hilarious on some characters. There is much lore to discover too.

One of the best god games I have played, in years or ever. Highly replayable, even in "early accesss". A lot of Dev support. A good package, buy it.
