Nothing too much to talk about, it's got good progression, interesting biomes, and varied tools/weapons.

They fixed the crafting system I complained about below, and some of the instability issues, but I feel I can change it to positive now.

Gameplay loop is fun, but the crafting is nearly useless.

You can either hope for a good weapon to spawn in the shop, or blow like 3 play sessions worth of the basic currency trying to get a weapon with usable base stats. Even then, you can get crap rolls on your upgrade traits and blessings, and only be able to change 2 of the 4 of them, and now not only has your currency gone to waste, but now so has your upgrade materials.

If you just want to swing your sword and shoot your gun, without touching too much on optimisation the game is fine, albeit with crap load times and a little instability. If you like getting your stuff just right, then it's a slog even after a year and a half of feedback.

Make no mistake, this game is early access, and let me tell you I was unhappy to figure this out after 6 or 7 hours of gameplay. Some fun mechanics, and generally fun gameplay, but the game is getting weekly minor updates, and nearly monthly updates to core mechanics, and they have the nerve to call it "Season 1".

Dwarves, mining and killing bugs. Stop asking questions and get it.

Absolutely sublime and a powerful experience with themes exploring compassion, the cost of power and moving forward. The only complaint I have about the game is that Supergiant Games made it before they had the time and money to pour even more care into the visuals. The gameplay is tight, it tells a good story and the music just clicks with the whole experience. Just buy it.

Amazing visuals, great music, good story, overall a worthy addition to Supergiant Games' portfolio. People complain about the "sportsball" that is central to the game, however if you give it a chance it is very enjoyable, especially when playing against friends. A lot of care and work went into the game and the only problem I have with is is that the ending wasn't as satisfying because of the limiting factor of the sheer amount of variation available depending on how well (or poorly) you perform and your decisions.
