Unbelievable game. One of the best RTS games ever.

Really fun in some ways but the combat is so poorly designed. I find myself feeling like the combat is a chore to get to the good stuff.

Fun enough game, but it has hilariously bad connectivity issues. If you are willing to try to connect and reconnect to your friends' games a thousand times, this is the game for you.

Just not a fun game. Definitely some interesting aspects but the characters were dull and the mechanics of the game left a lot to be desired. Not to mention driving physics were worse than GTA 3.

Best WWII simulator I have ever played, and I've played quite a few. If you're willing to battle the learning curve, this is a must have.

If you are a baseball fan and have interest in running a franchise, managing a team, or being commissioner of a league, this game is everything you want and more. You can choose what to be responsible for and what not to. You can play every game or sim every game. There's historical teams, WBC, international leagues, ultimate team, and so much more. It is your baseball world.

And if you have played this before, you know what your getting.

I thought I would love this game. I was wrong. This game was sold as a story-driven game. And the story and characters shine. The characters are unique, the story is interesting and sometimes gripping, and the backdrop of a plague infested country rounds it all together nicely.

HOWEVER. Everything else about the game sucks. While the graphics, texture-wise, are stunning at times, the total lack of time the studio spent to optimize the game is unreal. The FPS is so bad that it looks like you are watching a movie from the 20's with a film reel. Even editing settings and custom-editing documents does so very little to effect the frames at all.

Also, the game mechanics. Oh, the mechanics. Without giving too much away, your character is not much of a fighter so you have to distract guards and rats alike to get past them. However, the guards are blind, deaf, and dumb, and the swarms of rats are laughably cartoonish, and will even glitch so bad that they poof away magically at times (as if they couldn't get the rats to act how they want to so they just decided to make them die when they do something they aren't supposed to). The few times you do fight are clunky and silly. You can bait a swarm of rats to eat a guard, who screams bloody murder, only for a second guard standing 3 ft away to not even notice.

Basically if you can watch all the cut scenes, you've got a hell of a movie. But the actual gameplay part is choppy and unintuitive, and, quite frankly, boring. I'd be able to get passed the negatives if the FPS wasn't so disasterous.

This is one of the best games ever. It is incredibly difficult, while also being very fair. You will fail, rage, and think this game unjust, but, in the end, Darkest Dungeon tames you and creates an addicting and enjoyably experience from start to finish (I presume, since I've never beaten it)...

Early Access Review
A&A is one of my favorite board games ever (close 2nd to Secret Hitler). When I heard about A&A online, I was ecstatic. And I was not disappointed. Here's a list of pros and cons:

Pros:
+Runs relatively smoothly, especially for early access
+Experiencing very few bugs
+Can play any and all 5 countries and any combinations (US, England, Russia, Germany, Japan)
+Lots of good quality of life features such as keeping track of IPC accurately, ability to speed up battles, readily available rulebook, easy-to-access description of all units, and much more
+Online works relatively smoothly

Cons:
-When the AI does their turn, it is VERY difficult to follow. The moves are done SO fast it is hard to process what is happening
-Cannot watch battles you do not initiate. IE if I am Axis and US attacks Japanese in naval battle, the battle happens automatically, and you cannot choose which units take hits, or even how the battle ended sometimes because it's so fast.
-Music is horrendous. Just mute that ♥♥♥♥ and throw on Netflix or Spotify.
-Sometiems have to exit to main menu and rejoin because map goes blank or you can't advance your turn.
-No online chat feature.
-HUGE one here: opponent has 24 REAL LIFE HOURS to make a move online. Absolutely unacceptable. They need to do very small time limits for each phase.
-AI. When I was the Allies, the AI actually put up a decent fight, mostly because Germany kept up good pressure on Africa and Russia. Japan was questionable. When I was Axis, the Allies were horrendous. Russia was too aggressive, England was almost non-existent, trying to put resources into India, and letting Germany strut through Europe. America actually had a nice invasion of France, but let Japan run hog wild and take Canada, Hawaii, Alaska, and China uncontested.

Overall, it is a very good start to a game with infinite potential. Online works great, and once they manage to allow matches to take hours and not days, I will be hooked.

DARQ is a really cool atmospheric horror platformer. The game is a mix of unique puzzles and enemies, with some really fun concepts behind it. I bought the game day of release at full price. That was a mistake. Given that the game is very fun and well done, it only took 108 minutes to complete. Definitely recommended, but wait until it's at least 50% off.
