I understand this game is a work in progress and constantly changes with input of ideas and suggestion from the GC4 community. What I like most is the Ship Designer. I prefer to make custom ships for the game and provide playable content. The Ship Designer makes this game worthwhile for me.

Definitely one of the better BSG games out at this time. Its not perfect but it has a lot of potential to be a better game,

Pros:
Turn base tactical strategy

Well rendered graphics.

Realistic space combat modeled on the BSG rebooted TV show.

Battles played out in real time.

Cons:
UI is very clumsy and needs to be a bit more refined.

Manuvering and positioning ships needs more work, suggest adding menu position/turn left or right UI commands on selected ships.

Targeting UI need to be more refined, suggest a drop down menu with selected ship to select targets and weapons to attack with.

Having up to now played to mission 6, I am otherwise enjoying this game very much. I have been a BSG fan since 1978 and I recommend this game to any BSG fan or anyone that enjoys tactical turn base strategy games.

Yeah, they really screwed the pooch on this one. I played the campaign and never bothered to finish it. AI in skirmish mode are so over powered you have to play very aggressively and rush out squads to AI's base to contain them before you can even start upgrading your own base and capture resource points on map. Necrons were indicted as next race to be added as they are seen at the end of the campaign but DLC was never done. Relic isn't doing anything but adding crappy content most player couldn't give a damn about and really nothing else.

I stopped playing this game 3 years ago.

A classic! First played this game when it was a release on CD. I cannot count how many times I beat the AI at every difficulty level. Game is a good addition to any steam library when you get the itch for some quick tactical RTS combat. Not worth the money and definitely not worth playing, This game should be offered as a Game app for android or iphone because that is basically what it is. Game is a piece of crap stand alone turn base strategy game that could have been better if it had been implemented into Civilizations : Beyond Earth but instead Fraxis milked for the money and misleading buyers. I strongly recommend not buying it. I bought this game in 2015 played it once and never played it again for reasons I listed above.
