Besides some mechanics in battles.. and the ease of using heavy cavalry only to trample an entire army 3x the size (unrealistic and overally exaggerated. This game was almost a master piece but yet remains one of the best total war games.

Huge problem with gameplay. The cavalry kept routing and was permanently wavering even after i rallied them 3 times and put them in front of my general. They for no reason, no shock, no sudden attack, no incoming missiles, kept routing a few seconds after rallying the unit. Which is what i consider a bug and this was in the proglogue. Having been a total war player since rome 1, i can assure you this is not how the morale system works and so i got my refund after the first battle... sad because this game looked very good and played well. After 6-8 years ? still a bug like that can ruin a game!

This game is absolutely awesome in all aspects, very adventurous and requires skill, the combat is nearly perfect no issues, the only gripe i have is a small percentage of the gameplay - the sticky jumping .. youl'll know what i mean when you play it, but that's all on the player's hands of how well you play. The only other thing is the close camera views but not a real issue.
Perfect game .. my cons are from my experience and how i play, not really something the game does wrong.

crashes like crazy when playing sniper.. after like a month i had to uninstall.. i lose everything i worked for everytime it crashes.. its stupid no wonder the game is free

it seems like the peak of football video games was in 2008 ... year after year madden has been declining since they do not have any competition and bought the nfl license.. we have no choice but to put up with it.
Gang tackles don't exist, A.I on all madden has the craziest offense and defense, not bad but its impossible to throw or break a big run.
Fantasy drafts and franchises have waaay too much depth focusing on Media and face of the franchise (created player) is even worse with the mini-movies and unnesecary crap.
Players take full advantage of in game mechanics that allow the same play and players to be run over and over again with QB scrambling being 90% of the game. The movements and mechanics are garbage, just check out any madden video rant on youtube.
Tackling a player and taking him down doesn't exist if another team player comes along and touches the runner, the runner ends up levitating off the ground and getting another 5 yards almost every damn play. I'm barely scratching the surface of why this game is garbage but find out for yourself if you want.

the biggest problem i have is the actual battle engine.... its worse than the original Rome .... whyyyyyy???
units scramble and try to reform when you click attack while in formation... i don't understand why they messed up battle engine. Hoplites are also messed up and don't phalanx properly. Don't recommend this game even though i was super happy to buy and play it.

The best survival game you'll find, with a storyline mode, survival sandbox mode, Objective mode. It's very very difficult on the hardest difficulty. I have enough experience with this game to know what to do to survive on the hardest difficulty and yet i can only ever last 1 or 2 days. Other than that there are easier difficulties that are still challenging for everyone including myself. There are rarely glitches and quick saves will save you from a big mistake if not on hardest difficutly - you die forever lol. Buy this game and play your life away lol.

HUGE PROBLEM when Winged Hussars (elite cavalry) cannot route or break an enemy militia unit (worst unit in the game) on a charge. This game is overwhelming in size of the map and amount of different units, i guess thats a good thing. Long time total war player/fan.
