I'm desperate and gonna try n learn a programming language. I hear JavaScript or Java (different, right?) are among the easiest to learn for newbs and most flexible as far as opportunities to use. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions for a person naturally bad at programming to get a game playable by himself?

Which systems do you have nowadays? (specifically handhelds); I'm interested in the 3DS library but I've heard some of that stuff will come to Wii-U and I don't know what to do.
