I rarely ever use it. Here's an example, I only checked it just now because it needed to update and here's a 10 day old message I didn't know about. That's just stupid.

Oh, I see what you're saying. The only way to get steam notifications is to have steam
running.

I check steam for messages regularly; sometimes leave it running in the background all day.

Yes, I know that there is a new message if I see a green envelope. That's usually after 3 months when I open Steam and look. Because there are no notifications to tell me to look.

Well if you click on that green envelope you should see "A New Comment On Your Profile"
listed.

All that does is make the envelope green at the top of the screen, if I don't come here and look, I never know.
I just finished the game last night, I'd like to try the Modded game, but I don't have another play in me right now, just got a couple of others DL yesterday.

No, I was referring to the glitch without the fix. While you're in town, a random guy dies and starts a shootout, even when you're in a building. Shouldn't happen any more.

BTW, how did you know I replied? I never get notifications of messages.

That's a severe glitch if players are shooting at you when you exit the mission assignment.

Have you been launching the game with Multi-fix?

I thought I just needed Multi-Fix in my FC2/bin folder for it to work, but no, you have to launch
the game every time using the multi-fix launcher for it to work, When it does a new menu will appear with options to set FOV and such.

Hmm, I just tried it and the game is playing. I'm at the point where i'm in the bar and the journalist has just asked me to do something and then on the way out, another guy asked me to do something and a guy is blocking the door. They were jumping before and now they are not...it may have worked.

I've tried adding that file that's supposed to fix my framerate, but it wouldn't run (assuming it's the same program). I'm playing it through Ubi Connect, don't know if that's the reason or if it's just because the files are so old. I'm currently at 88% of a playthrough and I've managed to get through all the mandatory glitches. The worst thing is when I get to town and a guy randomly dies, starting a firefight. Or when I'm getting a mission and they start shooting me when I exit the building. I'd like to use the files and the mods, but I just don't know how. I'm playing on an Alienware with 3090 graphics card.
