I've purchased this game and most of the DLCs on 2 different platforms(xbox and steam). As far as hunting goes it's one of the best available. It's a healthy mixture of simulation and arcade styles. Even if you're terrible and make lots of noise and don't do a good job of staying out of sight you'll still be able to shoot some animals. If you want to hunt the big trophies you need to get better, be sneakier, and take advantage of other abilities and items. It has come a long way over the last 5 years. The gun play isn't extremely simulation like but it's accurate enough to real life, I own many of the guns available in the game and it's relatively realistic. The developers continually release new content and patch the game. There have been many new maps, animals, and weapons added over the last few years.
