(Patience is a virtue, and I hate the Idea of not recommending early Access games.. when they have SO much potential!)

Quick Summary ( read below for my thoughts though :) :

Pros:

Extremely Accurate dinosaur models. Many skins and species.

Beautifully made enviroment

I would say a must for dinosaur lovers.

When Sandbox is up... game is extremely fun for the imaginative mind. I enjoy games with no direction... where I can create my own.

The whole Idea of the eventual game to come sounds amazing.


Cons:

Progression System. Unfortunately it just makes this game not fun... and I have very low standards of gameplay! Ever heard of Endless Forest? I can " Play" that for hours!

Developers seem to be frustrated by the community.. after being screwed over on multiple Early Access games ( though yes.. I do understand Early Access, and dont' expect a game to work hardly at all, to me my money is a donation towards a game I eventually want to play!) It makes me nervous that this will be another game that stops development.

I'm trying to be a loyal fan and really give this game a chance.

I am a dinosaur lover, and a freeroaming game where I can roleplay as such, hunting down other players, or avoiding being hunted down.. I'm all for it. I think there is a large following of people who play Primal Carnage, were screwed by The Stomping Land.. etc.

When this game had non-progression servers, I had some of my best moments so far with this game. Grouping up and working together to take down herds.. etc. That was where the fun was.

As of now, progression has kind of ruined the game. I KNOW the developers have plans, and this is NOT what it's intended to be at the moment. Whenever you buy early access, you have to be willing to go through the ups and downs of development. That is the point! Too many people don't seem to get that.

But also one of the developers posts, calling pretty much the community childish, kind of made me back off some. Having ran donation based Minecraft servers in the past, I know from that standpoint how quickly a community of people complaining about what seems like EVERYTHING, and absolutely zero patience when something is broken, or being worked on.

But at the same time, when people are paying you, you have to listen to them to a point. I think if we just got the Sandbox servers back for a bit ( even though I know this isn't what the game is intended to be.. probably shouldn't of gotten a taste of it) then I think a large portion of people will come back to it and stop complaning. You are ALWAYS going to have complainers... but when loyal people start questioning if it's worth sticking around anymore.. then you have a problem. I know you have our money already, but there is so much more to be made if a game is done right.


Sorry my review is mostly a rant probably lol. Honest opinion.

Game has gotten worse and worse.

I've played this long before steam. It's very glitchy, lots of hackers. But If you are just looking for an animal game where you can chat and play with friends it's perfect. A very simplistic game. But sometimes thats a good thing! If names like Fly Like a Bird, Wolfquest, feral heart, Endless forest, Impressive title, spark any cords with you, this is another game to add to your list :) animal indie gamers unite! :D

This is very addictive and extremely fun. Many more things to do than other cell games, such as hunger games, guilds, CTF etc. This game will also make you rage... a lot :)
