Overall it's a nice game. Very pretty environments, which is what I was looking for, quite serene and relaxing. The one downside to me is that it lacks a bit in terms of objectives : the weekly task is quickly done and then even with the exploring and collecting you can do, it gets a bit aimless. I'd love to have several quests a week, maybe the possibility of crafting your campsite a bit more, why not have more plants you can pick up and add a cooking aspect... Merely suggestions though. And I do enjoy it !

Early Access Review
First, the atmosphere of this game is awesome. Simple yet beautiful graphics that really manage to convey different, immersive moods depending on the biome and weather.
Then the content itself : mystery, exploration, original mobs & bosses, nice lore rather accurately inspired from norse mythology, already quite a bit of crafting options (can't wait for more to come !)...
So much to do ! So many objectives you can set for yourself aside from the main thread ! Love the feeling of sailing uncharted seas in your boat, of building and decorating your viking home and securing it from threats...
Good balance of "chillness" and action too, and gameplay is overall working well with the game.
I only played multiplayer at the very start, and it didn't work too well then, with many desync issues, but I know the devs didn't expect the success of their games and weren't ready for that, and a friend tells me he hasn't had issues playing with his mate, more recently.
I could go on and on, but my play time at the time of posting this review speaks for itself, I think. Plus, since I just started a new game, hours more will pile up, for sure.

It doesn't seem to be a popular opinion but I really love this game. The visuals are overall very nice and after 100 hours or so I still find new things that I hadn't seen before and find myself pausing in front of weird beasts or surprising landscapes. I also love the game's universe's lore and the way you discover it bit by bit at plaques, monoliths, in buildings... Really curious to see where all that leads but I'm taking my time to get to the bottom of things ! It's all very nicely written too (the lore bits, the short quests given by aliens - there are so many different ones, if you pay attention !). I really like exploration games and open worlds and this might be the best one I've played so far. Sure, it's not perfect, and it was over-hyped, but I'm still having a great time playing it and don't regret my money at all. I'm sorry for the devs that their comm was such a mess as, for me, it shows great potential and doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting. Also, most of the minor bugs that bothered me when it launched have been fixed, despite the chaos the studio is probably undergoing. Overall, a very nice gaming experience and I feel those first 100 hours are but a beginning for me !
