I was initially hesitant to grab it, because it "seemed" like it would be time consuming to get into/learn and my free time is limited.

Glad I did. Easy, straightforward and innovative, combining the best elements of multiple genres. If THIS is early access, I can't wait to get my hands on the finished product.

Also, regardless of it's EA status, it feels complete, looks gorgeous and couldn't run more smoothly. 10/10

Intricately designed, aesthetically pleasing, completely immersive Bronze Age perfection. THIS is the Pharaoh TW I wanted at launch. 10/10

AOE and ROR were the spark in my childhood that ignited a lifelong passion for history, wargaming, etc...

And the AOE:DE release did it's best to promptly suffocate it.

So one can imagine my hesitance to trust a poorly marketed remake under the guise of a dlc for the sequel (I don't know what they were thinking).

But I'll tell you something... I've been grinning ear to ear from the moment I booted it up 30+ hours ago.

It has ABSOLUTELY exceeded my expectations and more content is on the way.

Add: People keep mentioning the quality of life improvements... This game has improved MY quality of life. 10/10

Fun, free, unique, aesthetically pleasing. Bugs out joining servers occasionally, but it's not even a day old so...

There is so little content it might as well be a minigame. And what little does exist: is abhorrent and broken.

Hands down the "laziest" game I've ever played. Literally zero effort went into this.

I've played them all... The Sid Meier's games, Civil War Generals series, AGEods, Take Command, Scourge of War, the Talonsoft titles, VGA, Forge of freedom, etc... If it exists I've put hundreds of hours into it.

And I can say without a doubt... THIS is the pinnacle of Civil War simulation on PC.

Hard to believe it's only in early access.

15/10 Blown tf away...

I made the mistake of playing VIII prior, which rendered this game with it's "dated" mechanics, a frustrating chore from start to finish.

The Baker house provides a tense and interesting backdrop... But unlike the Village, I have no desire to return and uncover it's secrets.

7.5/10

Everything about its design actively aggravates me at a molecular level, yet... I persist.

If you haven't played "The Forest" in a while, this will have you reinstalling it.

Any game can be patched, seduce you with the allure of pending content, or milk the entirety of its "post-launch" into something simultaneously playable yet mediocre.

Few games are genuinely just... fun.

Phasmophobia is FUN.

...and its ceiling? Unbelievably high.
