Boneworks is a VR shooter, with some puzzle sections and a genuinely clever physics engine which doesn't take itself too seriously.
To look at games from the past it would be similar to how half life 2 and episodes played however boneworks doesn't have a particularly big story from what i have played so far.
I would say, common to all VR shooters, that you need to be comfortable with movement in VR, i don't get Motion sickness in most games now i'm comfortable using VR but i did get it with this game. I believe the puzzles that require you to jump from heights and or to climb are to blame for it. on the positive side i would say the gun play and the puzzle sections are rather well thought out and a lot of fun. plus the fact that some sections you can approach 2 or 3 different ways make every different playthrough quite different.
Pros: Great shooting, Puzzles and physics. Very natural feeling controls and decent enough story.
Cons: Motion sickness to those prone to it (Not fault of this game, most VR games can have this) and inventory management that is a little clunky left me a bit frustrated at times.
Overall, if you like VR shooters, this is a solid choice.

I can't make a complete judgement, i simply haven't played enough of the game to give it justice however aside from some pacing issues the game is genuinely fun. Many times i found myself trying to see if i could trigger some interesting dialogue with other side characters and the the jumping mechanics work remarkably well once you learn them. graphics are cute and the music is rather well composed and bright, something missing from a lot of modern games i feel.

I regularly suffer from insomnia and i needed to kill some brain cells so i could get to sleep. That proved to be a bad idea since i ended up staying awake all night playing the game. The atmosphere and sound design make such a strong and powerful impression with lots of clever writing that pulled me right in the moment i picked it up.

Metro 2033 is incredibly distinctive with the sound design. There's russian accents everywhere and lots and lots of little sounds that keep you on your toes as you play the game. A particularly memorable example of the sound design is the interactions between the various people you meet, especially the rangers later on, they all have really distinctive voices that sucks you in to the story so strongly that i swear i can still hear some of them.

Graphically this game shines as well. the various metro stations that you go to all feel like someones home and there's a fair amount of little side quests to do in said metros.

Being based of a book, this game has very solid and gripping writing with characters that are believeble and feel like they have genuine feelings for each other, such as the rangers that have little spats during the mission or Khan, the mystical man who genuinely makes you think about what you're doing.

Gameplay is also a strong FPS affair with a few interesting bits and pieces dropped in to keep it lively and interesting. An example is having two 'classes' of ammunition, one of which being Millitary Grade and the other the cheap Metro ones, Millitary rounds being used as a form of currency.

I had one fairly big issue to be honest, the FOV for what i'm used to is tiny and i believe it's only 75 Degrees. it isn't a detriment to the game but i found that increasing it makes the game a lot better to play.

In summary, Would i reccomend? Hell Yes! if you have put off playing this game, pick it up and play it!

Bulletstorm is a Solid Shooter which oozes personality and humour from the first inning. if you like shooters, get this! it'll make you grim from ear to ear time after time.

The most creative game i've come across for a long while.
with it's incredible humanity and soul this game won me over within 2 seconds of reading the steam store page, which is a rarity in this age of Call of Duties and Minecrafts.
obviously that being said i don't mean to disown those games as they are solid and deserve being put in a good light for but they deffinetly don't have the soul this game possesses which is something, in my humble oppinion, is grossly lacking in video games in modern times.
would i reccomend this game?, in short, hell yes!
