I was looking forward to something like the books as I was a huge fan back in the day, but the prose and choices in this iteration were overshadowed by all the quick time events. They happen in combat, during skills usage, and probably others. I stopped playing after the second combat.

Very enjoyable combat and puzzles. Some of the dungeons go on a bit long.

Thank you a hundred times for giving adjustable difficulty levels to the puzzles! It really let me focus on figuring them out without having to worry so much about perfect execution.

The combat feels great in terms of speed and control. Everything just feels right about the movement around the map as well. The devs and designers absolutely nailed it.

Half a game where nothing really happens and none of your choices from previous games in the series matter. This killed my willingness to continue with the Trails series.

Gameplay is fun and there's a bunch of variety in builds for a given run. Looking forward to Undermine 2.

Great game to have to the side of work. Bite sized strategy that waits for you to think. Enough variety for a large amount of playthroughs.

Glad to have a protagonist that isn't a pacifist while mowing down hundreds of NPCs. Has enjoyable characters and an adequate story.

Really enjoyed the characters, their development, and the overall story. It's nice to have protagonists that are complex and have understandable motivations beyond saving the world or something like that. Voice acting is astoundingly good.

I expected a slightly better story than the first one, but all of the stories are so simplistic and cliched. If you liked the first one, it's just more of that without improvement.

Great complex story, amazing gameplay. They made choices with the combat that removed a lot of the tedium and I absolutely adore that. HP/MP restored after each fight. Quick rotation between characters so ALL the party members participate without an arbitrary party limit. So many other good ideas that all came together to make just an awesome game that I 100%ed.
