Mass Effect has transcended beyond just its genre and is a superstar among games. RPG, Sci-Fi, Drama, Thriller, Action Game, FPS -- plenty of labels that could be applied, but how many games can excel at being all of those?

Let me tell you about the ending, up front. No, not a spoiler plot ending - the credits. You see, once you finally beat this game, and - this is a game you actually care about beating, and carrying through to the end -- at those final credits, you really see the reasons why this game turned out superbly. Simply put - an enormous team and resources (and manhours) were dedicated toward the development of this game. Thoughtful - even if you don't particularly like the way some aspects of the gameplay carry out, you at least can appreciate that the game developers did it well.

Having said that - Quality Control/Quality Assurance are top notch from this development team, and they brought on numerous game testers during development to help get this thing right.
