Couldn't get past the humour. Not sure what else I expected, but I was disappointed anyway.

Blatant cash grabs shouldn't be allowed on steam. Who approved this? Where's the quality control?

It's a blast, especially with friends. Connection can be a bit janky at times, perhaps due to the sheer amount of players that the devs hadn't planned for. If you have a host with a decent internet it shouldn't affect gameplay.
Main downside is if you play the heck out of it like me, you might realise that the gameplay loop is a bit limited in its skill ceiling and the progression doesn't feel very rewarding. Even the premium content drops (which I thankfully didn't pay for, but earned in-game) do very little to enhance the experience. The devs are cool though, and they seem to drop updates quite regularly. I'd like to check back in a year to see how this game has grown and put in another hundred hours or so then.

Early Access Review
Only in early access, and already as much fun as the first Hades. It's not necessary, but I would recommend buying and playing that first game through as it'll make the references to it in Hades 2 more meaningful. The only downside of this game is that it isn't fully completed already, but the success and polish of the first Hades has proven that we can trust this early access process to deliver the best version of Hades 2 possible. Buy it now or when it's finished, it'll be well worth it either way.

10/10, made me enjoy gaming again. I can't really think of a better endorsement. Enjoyable gameplay cycle, gives you story tidbits each run for the first few hundred hours. The pace of the progression is great. Runs are always providing your brain with something new, whether it's finding out fun combos or getting well-acted voicelines from the myriad of characters. Hades is a genuine breath of fresh air in a sea of service games by money-grubbing companies.

I spent a long while trying to find the fun in this game and can only look back on the time spent as wasted.
It lacks a soul, feels like it was slapped together by committee. It's a bethesda game with the most boring setting and a hundred times the walking.
I will no longer be ignoring video game reviews. I am worried about The Elder Scrolls VI.

This game's development is unfinished. It's quite fun up until about mission 4.

- Enemies are recycled throughout the whole game
- Ai is terrible, you're utterly unnoticed in some instances and eternally located in others
- Story is barebones, a few more lines of fun dialogue would've gone a long way
- No new weapons post mission 4
- inventory system is terrible
- Credit system is badly optimised; too easy to unlock all of your cybernetics and attachments leaving you with little to use them for for the majority of the game
- Loot system feels very tacked on, not particularly rewarding. Easy to get high rarities
- Weapons vendor is entirely useless
- Augments are unexplained, feels like a small damage increase regardless of element. Could have been a fun mechanic
- Secondary missions/post-game are stupendously boring and repetitive

Did my best to enjoy it. I really like exploring 40k weaponry. However, at best it's an arcade shooter you can enjoy for a few hours - not worth the £35 price tag, A real shame, because the assets are almost all there. Environments are great, the soundtrack is fun. Most of the weapons are well done, there just aren't enough of them.

Had lots of potential, could've been a great game. Worth about £10.
