Just uninstalled for the third time. I'm sorry if this is a rant here rather than review. I only play single player so maybe when they add career mode I'll change this. Maybe online is good but fighting against your AI in the Challenge mode is completely b/s. I'm looking at the leader-boards asking myself are these people hitting perfect counter shots or something? I mean I'm literally beating the snot out of the AI as it stand's there and lets me hit it until it decides I've done enough damage and begins to fight back. By the 8th round I've thrown/landed 2-3 times as many punches, including power, and my boxer is dead tired can't throw more than 3-4 punches, while the computer sits there at full stamina. The part that made me write this is my opponent had 29%-HP: WTF is the point of HP if they have full stamina I have 98% HP but they knock me out b/c I'm too tired to throw any punches. Sorry it's been this way since the start and there's nothing for a single player to do if you don't PVP so I don't see a point to playing currently. Maybe I need to GG but this logic is just making me frustrated. Sorry...

I want to thank the developers for giving codes to the wonderful people at Keymailer. I was sent this game to try out and it's a decent ship building/modular physics game. The tricky part is trying to manage your costs while still trying to create a bad ass ship. You have to look at what type of worlds your landing on and decide what is best for the situation. You're in a cold planet, bring heaters. You're on a hot planet, bring coolers. Same goes for weapon types. You really have to tweak your drones or you'll find yourself running out of resources fast. The game doesn't seem all that difficult in the Survival mode. Haven't played the MP yet. I recommend giving Nimatus a try for the sheer creative builder in you. You'll find most ship designs don't work the way you think they will. You'll get some good hours out of it to. I'm 12 hours in and still haven't scratched the surface of all the different parts you can get. Thank you again for the opportunity. If anyone wants to check out my stream on Twitch to see how it plays, please stop by. Thanks.

This game brought me back to my Sega CD days with games like Make My Video and Double Switch. I was a huge fan of the Full Motion Video genre in its heyday (92-96) and it’s been a long time since a game has captured that essence. If you’ve never played a Digital Pictures game, and love this game, I recommend trying a few out just to see how far we’ve come. This game is what FMV games strived to become. It’s fast paced, but never too difficult, that one or two playthroughs will net you an A+ on your segments. The third segment ramps up the difficulty, and will take a few times to figure out which angles you’ll need. Which brings me to my one and only disappointment, the amount of content. Yes, I understand this game is Early Access, and more content will be added, however, I expected more segments to be available. So far I’ve only clocked 6 hours (not including the 2 hours I spent playing the demo over and over). However, I did appreciate the 30% off coupon I got making this game worth every penny. I also did not like the random text/letters segments they added as your decisions seem to have no point, at least for now.

This game does have a ton of potential. You could edit so much more than news if the developers decide to open it up. I wouldn’t mind being able to edit the commercial segments that we air as well if they decide to add that option. I would also like more critiquing added via video segments on how good or bad you did. The store is a nice touch, all though I never used it, maybe that will be more important upon final release. Also if there is one video you can add, please add a video of someone firing you. If you ever played Ground Zero Texas, I used to love the segments they shot for when you screw up and someone runs in and smacks the camera telling you “You’re Fired!” Or in Night Trap how the S.C.A.T commander would pull the plug on your operation for one too many mistakes.

I’m glad this game is receiving raving reviews. I hope this project turns out to be a winner for this developer and they go on to make more great games in this genre.

This is AWESOME! Takes me back to my Sega CD days with games like Night Trap, Double Switch, and even a bit of Make My Video. It's fast paced, and managing all the options will probably take a few hours to get down. I'm definitely looking forward to the EA release and hoping they will add new DLC content to keep the main game from getting stale. Which is the only problem with these FMV games, once you've played through them a few times, not much replay value. Either way, this is a fresh take on the genre and I'm excited to see some developers still have a bit of nostalgia when it comes to classic FMV games.

Feeling Nostalgic is a beautiful thing these days! I’ve asked people who’ve come into my channel; “Have you played the Star Control series at all?” If the answer is yes, then most people will have no problem enjoying the “Spiritual Successor” to the Star Control Trilogy. I’ve told people, you have to remove what expectations you have of a “New Game” vs a “Spiritual Successor.” I knew going into this game “which is why I preordered it,” what to expect.

Lot’s of Resource gathering like the original: CHECK

Kick Ass Soundtrack from the original composer: CHECK

1v1 Ship to Ship combat, Rock/Paper/Scissor style: CHECK

Various Colorful Alien Races: CHECK

Upgrading Ships and Landers: CHECK

So being that I played the original Trilogy, I knew what to expect and didn’t get my hopes up for some brand new, never before seen, gameplay/story telling. I must commend Stardock on releasing a full game, as so many of these games end up in early access never to be completed. Have most of the things in Star Control: Origins been done before in other games, Yes. However, the SC series did it long before the Mass Effects and No Man’s Skys that we know today. That’s why I’m able to enjoy this as a new game, even if it has old mechanics. My suggestion to anyone that is on the fence for buying this is don’t let the reviews, or videos speak for the game. Play the Urquan Masters for 20-30 mins, it’s free. That game will help you decide If you want an updated, brand new experiences, from a series that will always be a classic. I just hope this game will reach a new audience and draw them as it did 25+ years ago.

Well here we are once again with a great idea, ruined because pvp, yet again, has no punishment system. I find so many multiplayer games want to be open world, yet allow players to steal, kill, and grief others, with no morale system in place. You want to play this game alone, better play 6am est. When everyone is asleep. I try to build a ship, get shot, try to mine, get shot. Only when I'm with my friends do I feel like I have the advantage and I don't like it either but seems like this is how all games devolve into. If you have a bigger group = great, unfortunately I find it very difficult to enjoy the game alone unless you play on a dead server. I wasn't even having as much fun with the group because we have everything we need. I find it more fun to mine, and build my own ship, unfortunately as soon as I run into someone I'm diving off islands just to make sure they don't get my bag. Life has consequences which is why we stay organized. Games like these are for the majority of people who feel stealing what others work for is easy when no one is judging you. Karma means nothing to the character when you're just an avatar, well unfortunately, those are real people playing those avatars, and I assume if this were r/l they would just as well shoot you and take what you have, because it's the least path of resistance and that's all we know how to take. Good luck...

This game is a great example of why you should "try, before you buy." I bought this game when it first came out on Green Man Gaming, for around $19. I played it with my friends, hoping for the Epic to come out in a week. Then they said it was bugged and the Epic is in practice mode. The game slowly died after this. I check on it every few weeks, which is why I'm writing this review now. I'm someone who believes if you spend money on a product, you are entitled to make use of that product. This product, is broken, unusable, yet it's still being sold at a premium price? Please try a new Free to Play game called Tiger Knight: Empire at War. The fighting mechanics are the same, right click block, left attacks, you can do combos as well, but the biggest appeal TK has, troop management, similar to Total War Arena. I stream, and have played over 700+ hours. I would have loved to put that time into Of Kings and Men, but now I simply refer to it, along with Reign of Kings as a game that had so much potential, but unfortunately now, is dead and a waste of resources spent.

After 700+ hours, and with almost 2500 matches played, I must say I am a Tiger Knight Fan Boy! However I have personal reasons why. Three months ago, I went looking for a F2P game for my friends and I to download. They played it for 2 hours, and said “Nah, this ain’t for me.” Yet I decided, since no one was streaming the game, and I being a new strummer who loves F2P games, “LoL, H&G, Paladins, WOT, Entropia, the list goes on and on. I would give this game a try all by myself. Within the first week of playing/streaming, I met some of the best players on NA server. I was able to meet the community and dedicated players who were here looking for their own version of Mount&Blade, Chivalry, Reign of Kings, etc.

So let’s get the PROS/CONS out of the way
CONS
GRINDY, as all F2P trying not to be Pay to win. However as I write this, a new XP pool system is coming out where tiers will be grouped up and gaining XP all together! This system will make the game far less grindy.
Mismatch tiers. Yes the game q’ing system isn’t the best but I assure you the game becomes more balanced once you reach 6,7,8.
Slow Q Times. I remember NA had over 7k player base anywhere after 9pm est. Week 1 and 2. It hasn’t peaked over 3k since.
Duel isn’t balanced yet. Chivalry and other games have the 2 men enters team RED, 1 man leaves team RED to balance which has not been implemented yet.

PROS
Great Community! I say that first and foremost because I have met people who have been very helpful. We even organized 5v5 tourney and had over 40 competitors! Yes they talk allot of smack, but who doesn’t in an online competitive game.

NOT PAY 2 WIN AT ALL! They give you so much ingame currency, gifts with equipment, VIP cards, Daily bonuses, Heck they give you stuff for typing out Happy Chinese New Years in chat! They do have some things sold at premium prices, however none of it is game changing by any means. I only call it Pay for Time, same as the World of Tanks model.

DEPTH! This game has so much depth! I mentioned Grindy, but WOW does the rewards pay off! When you get closer to the end game content, seeing 80 some horses running around on an open battle field, during a 7v7 Event match is something worth getting to. The customization options you get really change your style of play.
I hope this review has been helpful so far. I will continue to add to it as I can see myself playing TK for months to come.

UPDATE: 7/7/17 Severs lag made the game unplayable for a majority of NA players. This was never fixed and now the game takes forever to que due to the lack of players.
