The game used to be Free-To-Play microtransaction hell. Then the publisher dipped, and the devs reworked it to be a point of sale game with singleplayer, or up to 3 player coop. If you look at Steam reviews, only reviews from this week actually relate to the current game, other reviews are from the period of time it was a different game (free to play, progression was completely different).

Pros
- Combat is satisfying with. When you combine with others in co-op there is some cool teamplay
- You level up 8 different characters and can play anyone of them at any time
- World and content is expansive, there is always more loot, new weapon types, new cosmetics to find.
- Cool puzzles, satisfying boss fights with tons of effects and combinations

Cons
- Character builds are not super customizable. There are 4 abilities for each of the characters, and you can't swap around core abilities on a character. Customization comes from a passive skill tree, weapon choice, and "echoes" that provide stats and abilities

Played for 200 hours and looking forward to more experiences. Great when you are chilling sniping and just want to shoot heads, or when you have many friends to fly a helicopter and terrorize the server. Best packed with friends, but still great socialization and gameplay when on your own.
