Armored Core 6 does a lot of new things different from normal FromSoftware games, most of them for the better. While the story is more linear than their other games, it is hardly to it's detriment, as it makes the story much easier to unpack for a person on their first playthrough, resulting in a more satisfactory narrative payoff. While the gameplay may not be as smooth as, say, Sekiro, and the balance may be wonky at times, with 90% of the game's difficulty being condensed into a handful of bosses, recent patches have done a great job at making the game more approachable and enjoyable, while still retaining that FromSoftware edge. In totality, it is an excellent game, and I particularly recommend it due to the excellent quality of the story, the vast majority of which is told through engaging and well-voiced dialogue.

Good game, but certain achievements are frustratingly hard to accomplish.

Hard to find lobbies. 5-10 minute wait for low-level lobbies. Cosmetics require copious levels of grinding. New players are virtually non-existant, making the skill requirement for multiplayer exceedingly high. Still is a joy to play in Arcade though.
