Oh god! How do I even begin?!

Okay, first off: this game may seem like another retro-rpg type games that you can find WAAAY back. That's what I thought of first and I expected it to be like: You follow a linear path, above-average stories at best, repetitive encounter and you get your happy ending. Honestly speaking, I just looked at it and was about to shrug it off until I heard about its unique encounter mechanic...

This game gives you a choice to either kill or spare monsters and bosses.

Curiousity piqued, I took one more look at it. After a couple of moments, I figured that 'sure, why not?' and proceed to get into the game.

Hands down, I can definitely say that it's definitely Game of the Year material.

Every aspects of the game complements well with each other, from the awesome musics to memorable characters that aren't dull and repetitive to the unique combat system that's part turn-based, part puzzle-solving and part bullet hell. Hell, even its aesthetics blends well with the overall tone of the game. The main attraction for it, however, is this...

The game allows you, the player, to play the game in any way you want to. And actively ACKNOWLEDGES your action, depending on what you do. I think that's what sells me to it. Your actions, be it killing an insignificant monster or befriending one of the boss, can and WILL have repercussions on not just the ending, but your overall interaction with other characters as well. And the best part? Even in subsequent playthroughs after a completed one, the game will STILL remember what you did and give hints of it; be it through minor dialogue or plot change. Holy crap.

11/10, would erase my memory and experience it all over again.
