There's a lot I could say about this game but a pretty huge chunk of that would involve spoiling it. All I know for sure is that it got to me harder than any game's done in a while.

Definitely worth the price tag, I would have paid twice as much without batting an eye, especially if I'd known how amazing it was really going to be. I expected a lot out of it and I got so much more than that.

This is the best game I've played this year, and probably in the several years before this too. The depth of branching paths this game has are absolutely staggering, and having so many things to do with so many different ways you can see it based on how you've built your character makes for a game that you could pour months into and still not see everything there is to see. Most importantly, though, is that the writing is incredible. It balances legitimately funny moments with deadly serious conflicts, all while you get commentary from all the different stats you've got (it gets weird). I cannot recommend this game highly enough.

Genuinely fun and surprisingly relaxing. The art is fantastic, and yes, Hat Kid is the most adorable thing I've seen in quite a while. Even without having played the specific collect-a-thon games this is a spiritual successor to (Banjo Kazooie in particular), it's very easy to lose track of several hours while just admiring the game.
