Anmeldelse fra tidlig tilgang
I played this game for about 10 mins at the Gamescom in Cologne and talked with the developer. Very sympathic and immediately bought the game after the con, so far it's really entertaining (just completed the hell).
Things I would like to add or change:

- zooming in / out
- better / more creative level up perks
- more balanced level up system cuz at some point (about minute 20) it's so slow to level up
- more replayability cuz after 6-7 hrs I got the feeling that I nearly did everything except hard mode

PS: the hell is a really nice map to play, keep up the unique mechanics in Future maps!

Boring and repetitive. Doing the same thing over and over again for dozens of hours. Huge downgrade to Odyssey. At least the graphics are pretty.

Octopath Traveler is a loveletter to all turnbased RPG fans such as Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy. Instead of following one big main story it focuses mainly on each characters individual stories. That is also the reason for some people to call the story "bad" or "boring" because its lack of depth. But Octopath Traveler scores with fun classical gameplay, an innovative weak-system, masterful soundtracks and beautiful graphics.

In this review I mainly compare Like A Dragon with the previous Yakuza 0-6.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon is seemingly different from all the other Yakuza main games. Not only that the combat is turnbased (which feels kind of weird at first since it's still "fighting" like) but it's also less serious than the games with Kazuma Kiryu.

The protagonist makes this journey more humorous which can be good, but in some situations a bit misplaced. The story is well enough for a Yakuza, not the best of all games but definitely not the worst.

Having a diverse group of people who constantly interact with each other makes this game more lively and exciting than 0-6.

The combat is good, the different skills are funny but there is definitely room for progress. Don't expect the turn-based fights to be as deep as a Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger etc. But I'm positive that in the upcoming yakuza games it will come close to it (if you consider that this is the first turn-based yakuza).

In the end it's still a great game and worth to buy. It's a refreshing change in comparison to the more "dull" fighting style in its predecessors. I had lots of fun, the "world", the substories, the minigames etc. are in their usual yakuza way so no complaints here. It's not really grindy despite being a more classical JRPG (excluding the last post-game dungeon, hello 1-shots). The graphics are decent, not a big step ahead from Yakuza 6 but still good. I'd say it's even worth the full price.

Great and fun, but also short metroidvania.

The graphics are charming and the gameplay is really smooth and fast-paced.
The story is.. decent but not really worth mentioning. It's obvious that the focus lies in gameplay.

It's one of the easier metroidvania games, you can beat almost every boss after the first or second attempt.

Definitely worth in sale, but keep in mind that you'll need about 5 hrs to complete the story if you don't fail too often.
