Addictive especially once modded.

I just can't put my thumb on this game. It's so retro looking and honestly I wasn't into indie games.

I looked at the price and laughed it off thinking I am not playing a game that looks (sorry to say it) like a mobile phone game. A few weeks pass by and i keep seeing reviews of this game didn't see one bad review and honestly i don't think i've seen a game with basicly all positive reviews so I looked away and bought the game thinking what have i done!

I then started the game up on the second hardest difficulty thinking pfft will be easy i bet as people dont give good reviews to difficult games nowadays, made a colony which almost instantly died to some crazy beavers so i started again, and again... getting better and better at the game (and mastering the art of SAVE SCUMMING) I couldnt stop I am addicted to this game, It has caused me to be late to many appointments as days has FLEW past lol.

this game is so good honestly I'm glad I dove into this game and had a go it's a game that you know even the developer plays actively i cant even really think of what kind of game this is or compare it to, honestly I have tried to find some more games like this as it has been a real eye opener.

Recently there has been not much updates but if you look at the past you will see that the updates was so frequent now we all know he is working on the next update being the full release.

The mods are really easy to use too very easy to setup and play with they are great and every day there is 100s put up some great mods and there is loads of guides on how to get even get started with modding.

This is a honestly is a brilliant game and even a potato can run it!

Managed to join one game after like 1 hour of trying many game types and the only one i could join was a infected game which was litterally one person running around and the rest was AFK, I'm not even joking it was 10 afk people me and one other not. I tried this on release and had no problems was instantly queued.

I do not own the DLC so I cannot say anything about how active the game is with the DLC maps but this was honestly a shock to me to not find a match on a AAA game released just over half a year ago.

Sadly I cannot recommend this game.

This game has held my attention for hours apon hours. I never really dive into learning in games with such a STEEP learning curves as with this game. I literally have no idea why all these people are rating this game so bad when almost all that reviewed at the 'Most helpful reviewers' has over 1000 hours played I dont know about you guys but if i didn't enjoy a game i would imidiatly stop playing the game and try to request a refund ASAP. There is going to be times where a patch will cause you to get really angry as the changes are dramatic to the style you play at and feel devestating like EVERY GAME that is trying to keep some form of balance! Sure there is so much stuff that people wont agree with and there is loads of things I dont agree with like how long things take to do as like most others I work full time and have other commitments too but there is loads of things around that such as unofficial servers.

In all honesty this game has been so much fun and such a change from the styles of games im used to and when i get a little tired of the game there is 1000s of mods that dramaticly change the game into something almost completely different. Sure the game may seem buggy for people but I can litterally play this in 4k sure only 30 FPS but with a 980ti and it doesnt dip for me most the people who i have played this with too dont have a problem either. there is some graphical bugs every now and then though like crops expanding like stretch arm strong heading miles into the sky haha but quickly fixes itself, this game is amazing for its price to per hour of actual fun you can have. Most games now you get some buggy crappy game that never amounts to anything other then a quick cash grab this game has been getting constant large updates with lots in them but they do need to learn to compile the sizes of the updates though as my poor SSD lmao they actually do seem to be actively working on this game almost as if they dont sleep! updates can break stuff but they quickly will release a hotfix at which seems like any time of the day/night within a few hours!

All in all I can recommend this game, it looks beautiful and its only just about to be released. Most games now at release are pretty content dry this game is most certainly not. Just have a look at the hours played again at all the top reviews and think how much is your time worth when you look at your game library time played haha
