After waiting ages to finally be able to play this in multiplayer with a friend, it feels nothing but rushed and undercooked.
Not a single story mission (let alone the big ones) is happening in Coop. The only thing you get is Build A - Gather B - Build C - Repeat.

As nothing ever breaks the repetitive flow of the grind for mats, no NPC interaction beyond the "relationship" system, paired with a mediocre combat system makes this a...questionable investments for anyone seeking to have coop fun. I am just confused what made it so hard to just integrate the existing story. Its at least not difficult to have the world events and world cutscenes happen for everyone in the session. So why is this so hard?

I do not recommend this in its current state for anyone wanting to have good fun in coop. There is better games that do this a lot more smooth.

Unlike other Mmobas I'ver never gotten into, I prefer the 3rd person perspective offered here. That with the fast paced gameplay during clashes is imho, better than in the big two remaining.

I would gladly like to recommend this game,
but cannot do so due to the state it's in.
The game was plenty fun when it first released,
but is absolutely unplayable as it is now.

It's near to impossible to find a game without any hackers in it.

Do not buy until it's resolved.

This has fortunately been resolved and adressed. Hacking is rare to nonexistant.
Buy them game!

Hackers are now more present than ever before. Getting killined by YanFengShi or other asian names is happening daily. Tencent and Bluebyte refuse to impose any efficient measurement against hackers overtaking even the ranked matches. Rarely does anything beyond "1 day suspension" even happen. Simply put, as long as you only hack your recoil 50% tencent does not care....

I've played this game for nearly 512 hours, of which I enjoyed the majority.
Even for 60€ that's less than a $ an hour of entertainment.
If you're looking for a dinosaur survival game, buy it, you won't regret it and there's more to come for the game anyway.
Patches are frequent, gameplay is good and devs do mostly care of what the community expects.

If you are unsure wether to buy DayZ or this pearl, the choice is clear, Rust all the way.
More stable, fun and done than any other early access game:).
