I have about 10 hours in the game so far, and i have to say that I was very surprised by this game, in a GOOD way. I consider myself to be far from a 'casual gamer' in terms of what I expect for difficulty and complexity/skill ceiling in a game to keep my attention, and this has delivered in spades. There are tons of games in the last few years that seem to try to capture the trends like destructible environments, "procedural _____", wave-based survival, etc... but this game really delivered a unique and fun experience right out of the gate. I'm still pretty low-level, and have only scratched the surface of what the later game has to offer, but I've been enjoying it with my friend. It's great if you can find buddies to play with who are also new so you can experience it all together.

Everything about this game is very satisfying- the sound effects, the lighting, the way the guns feel to shoot... it's all great. Definitely worth the $30 or whatever I paid for it. If it was ever on sale for less than that, I'd say you should DEFINITELY buy it, even if you don't play to platy it for a while. can't wait for my buddy to get online so we can go die in a radioactive cave while being set on fire by weird aliens.
