Please bring this game back. This was one of the better battle royales.

Its like Spelunky 1 only touched up graphics, cool new characters, all new enemies and traps and items. Just as fun and just as addictive as its predecessor. If you were a fan of the first game i can confidently say that this is a game you with enjoy in great length.

Edit: So i was very harsh on Dayz Standalone however many years back, but i feel like after all these years the game is finally a bit more refined and "enjoyable". Its still pretty embarrassing how little has been done in the time the Arma 2 mod released to now, and realistically the game is still only truly bearable with outside mods. Also the fact that this game is releasing pay to play dlc just seems like an absolute insult to those that have been riding this ♥♥♥♥ train since the start. I still think for what it is and how long its been in the works this game is still an insult to those of us that have ponied up the money for arma 2 and DayzSA. Also why the ♥♥♥♥ can we not get beds or sleeping bags or SOME kind of respawn at your base feature?? Its such a crucial component to games like these and Dayz has some of the largest maps in a survival game you will play. Its what makes me quit playing every time, because i cant stand dying and having to spend 10-15 minutes running all the way back to where i built. Asinine.

Original: Dont waste your money. This game has been in alpha for FAR too long with little to no development at all. I tried giving this game the benefit of the doubt, seeing if it would pick up and take off but it was a total flop. There is NO concept of an adequet hit box, you will glitch into stairs, doors, rocks, you name it, and you will die. The map is insanely huge which wouldnt be a problem if cars werent so scarce its laughable. And if you do find a vehicle, approach with caution as to see you dont glitch into it and die. You will spawn in someplace along the coast and in a very short period of time become hungry and thirsty and once you find a town if its not looted and you find food, you will just end up being killed by another player that is already geared with weapons.
I enjoyed countless hours of Dayz mod for Arma 2 but even that was riddled with deadly glitches and terrible hit boxes yet was somehow more enjoyable than this $30 fecal sandwich. Considering the amount of time Dayz has been out, mod and alpha standalone, i believe we deserve to see a much more polished game, that or our money back and lower the price of the game to $5-$10.
If you are into the "post apocalyptic pvp survival" kinda games, look someplace else. Try Miscreated, or H1Z1 perhaps, hell even Unturned is a better more polished PAPVPS than Dayz. If you want a walking across miles of terrain starving and dying to glitches simulator, well then, you found your game; by all means pony up the $30+ and take you a nice big bite of the ♥♥♥♥ sandwich that is Dayz.

Great game for an Alpha, ive been long awaiting a game that feels like an online elder scrolls experience and not even Bethesda themselves could acheive that.
Some things I'd like to see in this game,
-Skills/skill tree
-more monsters
-cave systems
-small villages/NPCs
-sailing
-a way to climb the Dragongs roost and lay claim to his spoils

Some things i noticed need fixing,
-Chests disappear when placing them then putting items inside
-character getting stuck on forge when getting too close
-range on skeleton attacks seems too long

all in all this game is amazing and i cant wait to see the progress made to it. If youre looking for a fantasy style survival game then this is for you, keeping in mind that it is early access and there is much to be desired, but this game holds some serious potential if you ask me. 10/10
