Best wishes and stay healthy!
I am though a big fan of Sierra adventure games. So I'm biased of course. Notwithstanding the combat in Heroine's Quest made me get stuck on the game and drop it. They really should've made combat optional because it doesn't work well in an adventure game, I think. Kind of irritating. I should really get back to it one day!
Great point & click adventure game. I'm honestly amazed that a game of such quality is free!
I loved the minimalism and how most of the puzzles are actually solvable on your own. Unlike some old Lucas Arts or Sierra adventure game.
The story is a conspiracy theory but the narrative and the small details are very immersive.
The atmosphere reminds me of The Dig for some reason.
There's a few rough edges but for a free game, Metaphobia is exceptionally polished!
Cons:
Some pixel hunting over small items.
The final 2 puzzles are convoluted and suffer from too much complication.
Are there also alternate endings? It felt like somewhat underwhelming considering the build up. But that's ok. At least they were trying something. I suppose the whole thing is just a subtle criticism of American politics.
If you need any help in walkthrough on anything I completed don't hesitate to write.
Have an awesome weekend
