Yakuza - The beach episode

This game is a hidden gem, dismissed as a grindy mmo with a paid sub when it came out, now you can play it for free like and even play the story solo a single player if you wish.
- There are 8 classes (4 for each side, repubic and empire) each with its own story, that you can play without grinding, with a "good" and "evil" ending (sometimes more) so you might want to play the same story more than once and make different choices
- Theres a bunch of companions (some you can romance) with their own stories, that level up with you and can do the tanking and healing for you while you blast stuff with lightning/blasters/etc.
- If that wasnt enough to keep you busy for a few months, theres side stuff like: skills that you can level up such as crafting and then sell what you craft on the market, Ship missions and Ship PVP (which can be chaotic at first, but a lot fun once you look up a ship build online and go from there, Team PVP, Jumping Puzzles, tons of Gear for you to customize your character, etc

DO I HAVE TO SUB? you're probably asking. No you don't. There's some restrictions at first that will be annoying on your early levels, like not being able to use chat and sprinting but those unlock eventually, and others you dont miss so much like the maximum amount of money you can carry (UPDATE 2022 - they raised the money cap free players can hold).
HERES THE BEST PART, a lot of those restritions you can unlock with ingame money! I still recomend you sub at least once, it unlocks all the expansions and you get to keep them when the sub ends.

PROTIP: get the mobile authenticator and youll get Coins to spend on premium content every month.

2023 Update: new server open up with no character transfers, meaning everyone starts from zero, giving the server that brand new mmo feel.

2024 Update: Game show no signs of slowing down, not only are they making new story content, but theyre also improving the old content such as new textures for old maps and characters.

F2P game that is actually playable without putting money into it.

"Should i play the Yakuza games?" Yes you should, start with this one.

Lets be honest, 90% of people buy this game for the chao garden.

This is one of those "i'll just play 5 more minutes" kind of game, so you wont get bored or mad because you'll already be playing another match.
PS: You'll be saying "I totally meant to score like that" a lot.
