Doesn't feel ready for release.

Game apparently had some sort of in-game monetisation during beta which they scrapped but everything is still there you just don't have the option to spend real money anymore. We're left with a lifeless hub that looks like all the NPCs should do something (probably to do with real life money) but instead they just stand around.

On the flip side, many things I would expect to be in a game from this genre are missing or incomplete. They had time to add a cash shop but never added:
- Proper tooltips: sometimes hovering over an item or effect will tell you what it does but not always. I get 3 stacks of Vigor when I get hit, cool, what's that?
- Run history: I played a multiplayer game where we lost and I felt I did very poorly. Unfortunately I have no way to check because the game records no stats whatsoever about any of your games played except from "All time highest x" type ones
- Balance: Lots of trinkets and vestiges are clearly and obviously better than others, you too often have an easy correct choice in what you pick
- Readability: If you have a lot of enemies and are playing with 4 players the ground is just a mess of very similar shades of pink telling you with it being impossible to tell at a glance who is doing what. There is a lot that could help with this and none of it is implemented. You could hover over an enemy to have it highlight that enemies attack attack arrow/circle, or hover over yourself or you healthbar to have it highlight just the enemies/effects that are going to hurt you where you're stood.


This is pure speculation but since the Reddit is completely dead, the Discord for the game is very slow, and there are almost no Youtube videos (other than reviews or "let's try" style ones) from the 1.0 release with more than 1000 views, it feels like the community for the game was dwindling so the publishers decided to throw on a 1.0 tag and be done with the game. I hope I'm wrong because indie games aren't as cheap as they used to be.

Amazing factory builder. You wouldn't think graphics would help but they really do, some of the views you get are stunning.

The multiplayer is dead. I checked 3 times over 3 days, all at different times of the day. Two of the times there was a single other person looking for a game and the other time there wasn't anybody else at all looking for a game.

It's a shame because the game is fun but I think their decision to price the game so highly has priced many people out. If I just wanted a solo Spirit Island experience I can buy the physical copy of Horizons for about the same price as this app.

Game is way too hard for me, just like the old version was. Fun game with a cool style though so I'd still recommend it.

My all-time favourite game.

Played through this a bunch here and then again recently on Switch and was reminded how good of a game it is. A must-buy!

My favourite puzzle game, I come back to it every few months to bang my head against it some more - it gets really, really hard!

Buy this if you like card games. Don't read any more reviews because it'll spoil the unique story. Just buy it it's that good.
