This is actually a fun game. Not much content, but enough to be played from start to finish from time to time.

I just finished this fine game. Mech customization is simple yet effective, allows for a large number of combinations. The story is simple yet works good enough. At some point you won't care about it anymore. Partly because of errors that cause some dialogues to be played at wrong moments - before an other dialogue was played. Showing clear signs of chronological continuity errors. Also, chose save and exit option every couple of battles and after rebuilding any of your mechs as the autosaves are rare and the game crashed on me twice.

Mech customization and epic scope of the story (overdramatized) make this game similiar to the recent Battletech game. Much different tactics and mech construction systems make this game a viable alternative to the mentioned title. I actually finished Acaratus, while Battletech lies on my pile of shame.

Most of this game's mechanisms has a lot of potential and a room for improvement. Crafting as a slot machine? Fun yet underutilised. Lotsa story characters but no pilot system for your mechs? Waste of opportunity.

I hope this game gets a few more content-rich patches and perhaps a DLC (adding pilots - nothing complecated, just another type of slot, like arms, legs or cores - and a tournament game mode with progressively more difficult battles without any story whatsoever).

Still, I can recommend Acaratus.

What a great game! I'm too old to be really good at it. My hand's not as agile as it was long years ago. Yet I somehow manage to survive over three minutes and I'm slowly getting better and better.

Graphic and sound design are fantastic. Gameplay's exciting. Fluid movement brings back memories of great games like Quake II and Painkiller. This game has everything it needs to be fun and more.

Outstanding graphics and physics; really fun and challenging gameplay.
