This game... Oh this game! The tears! The frustration! You will learn the maps by heart, down to every default camera location... Or you will die. Again. And again and again.

Get used to peeking the tiniest of pixels to win fights, get used to all those operators and their unique gadgets and loadouts. Knowledge is king in this game, and you're going to not have the best of times in the first hundred or so hours... But when it clicks. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does it click. And it feels so good to make those nice plays. 10/10 would get recruit rushed again.

1. Make a bunch of militarist xenophobic Quebecers
2. Declare them the Bloc Quebecois
3. Annex all the neighbours

Of all the Paradox grand strategy games that I've seen or played to date, this one has definitely been the easiest to pick up and play. Do not, however, let this fool you. The game is certainly no cake walk and has a definite learning curve before you can get into it and play, but once you get a decent handle on the mechanics, this game is hugely entertaining. The ability to watch Europe, and later Asia, Africa and the Americas; develop as you play and see how history gets changed around based on the ever-changing interactions between nations is a definite point of interest if you've ever taken an interest in history. There are some issues with the military features, such as trying to work with your allies in wars when they have their hearts set on certain unrelated objectives, but it is not a considerable enough issue as to ruin the game. A definite recommendation from me, and a must-play for strategy buffs.
