I'mma be honest, at almost 500 hours in, I absolutely love this game. I love it. I was unaware that the PSN thing *was* optional when I bought the game and started playing, since it made me make an account. I even had to jump through hoops to make a new PSN account since Sony's website said I already had one (that I was unable to recover). That all said, I absolutely abhor the 'bait and switch' by the publisher trying to force other people to link a PSN account to play a game that has been so much fun. There are legitimate reasons to encourage people to connect an account, especially if Arrowhead/Sony releases a Switch/Xbox port, and they make cross-progression a thing. That is a good viable reason for linking an account. But as of yet, I have neither seen nor heard anything of that sort being planned. Until the account linking thing is dealt with, I'mma stand in solidarity with the rest of the community and recommend against. If Sony backs down, I'll change to a positive review. Because again, I love the game and how the developers have interacted with the community.

Edit: As Sony has walked back their plans for forced account linking, I am doing what I said and changing to Recommend. Highly, highly recommend.
