I bought this as a point & click fan, because I loved the first two Ben & Dan games, but I would say that the platforming is above-average in difficulty, and way too frustrating after I die 30 times in the same spot. I thought I would like it as an adventure gamer, but it's basically unplayable without really good reflexes and platforming habits. It feels like 85% platformer, which isn't how it's marketed, and left me feeling really disappointed.

I thought the beginning of the game was pretty decent and fairly funny, though few of my choices seemed to make much difference. But the last hour or two was such an unfun slog with out-of-character plot twists and really tedious exposition. Felt like getting stuck watching a bad after school special.

A really beautiful game that reminded me of how much I love the original novel. The story gives you some nice input on some of the gameplay, but the ending felt somewhat abrupt.

This game has a neat idea, but unfortunately it's a pain to actually play. Need to knock down the resolution to 1080 to do some of the clue finding, long sequences where you can't save and quit, and most frustratingly, timed sequences where you can't progress if you're not fast enough! And you can't save at that spot either.

So many puzzle games have an option to skip sequences that require dexterity and reflexes, it's a real shame this didn't. Also the puzzle gameplay itself is in bad need of a rewind option, so you can don't have to restart the whole puzzle when you realize you've made a mistake a little while ago.

The beginning is a bit slow, and the ending drags a bit, but overall it's a fun retro-style scifi jrpg. I really liked some of the characters you meet, especially the aliens later in the game, and I'd love to play a whole game centred around that alien detective guy.

The story is a bit of a mess, but the overall atmosphere is quite good. Fun battle system, I like being able to adjust the difficulty at any point in the game. I turned it up for most of the game, to the 3rd hardest, but then put it down to 2nd for the ending because there's a huge difficulty spike there.

Overall I had a good time.

The concept for this game is great, an adventure about diving into various books of mythology and literature. The game does drag a bit near the end, and some of the puzzles are not explained properly. Not among the greatest adventure games, but I think it's worth playing if the subject is of interest.

Relaxing and thoughtful game, good for a couple of hours. The visuals, music, and gameplay work together really well.

Wonderful atmosphere, but some of the puzzles are frustrating and don't help develop the story. Worth playing.

Very fun casual platformer. Great small game to play as a palate cleanser.
