Life is Preachy.

Unlikeable characters making dumb decisions. A road trip featuring people with almost zero survival instinct. I don't think there's any character here that I wanted to see more of, with the possible exception of the mom, who actually started to present a interesting personality in Ep4, but by Ep5 she was a loving-and-caring cliche like everyone else.

I wonder what happened with the writing here. I've enjoyed the other Life is Strange games, and all the previous games from Dontnod. But the plotting and writing here felt so amateurish and unsophisticated.

Just a really unenjoyable experience all around. Some of the graphics and environments were really nice, though.

It was a delight to come back to this world after so many years. I think a lot of things in this game were done quite well, especially the art, which takes us to a much more pleasant and functional future than we see in a lot of media.

There were a few annoyances, especially with of the pathing of the NPCs, and their animations in conversations, are sometimes quite buggy and often look awkward or just broken. The hacking minigame was sometimes quite tedious, and I found myself using the in-game hint system because it became such a pain to try to experiment with different solutions.

Overall, I'm really glad I experienced this, and I thought the ending rose to the challenge, providing something very poignant and thoughtful.

I was a bit hesitant about this game, because the art seems a lot more "cutesy" than the usual stuff I like. Well, the actual game doesn't feel too overly cute or sweet, and it was a real pleasure to play through.

It's a nice light underwater philosophical visual novel. Navigating around the environments was a bit of a pain. But I loved the characters and the storytelling, and I hope these people keep making imaginative and ambitious games like this.

A solid but unspectacular point-and-click adventure game that deserves to be more widely known. It'll never be considered a classic, and there's definitely some parts where the whole thing is a bit dull visually and story-wise, but it's a decent sort of classic adventure game. If you liked the Indiana Jones or Lost Horizon adventure games, this has a similar feel.

Beautiful and atmospheric first-person puzzler. The puzzles are simple but sensible. Feels the people making it have spent time walking around in the woods, as well as playing other games of this type, and thinking about what makes for a good experience. A very pleasant surprise.

This was a really fun and stylish short JRPG. Some of the UI elements and menus were a bit confusing, and the story felt quite disjointed and ended up a bit generic. But I loved how colourful everything was, and it would be neat to see a sequel with some polished and expanded mechanics.

An enjoyable, thoughtful, well-made game with a deep and heartfelt story. Like many playing this game, I was a big fan of The Cat Lady, and I think this is the next-best game the creator has made, though at times the similarity was a bit too close.

My main complaints were that the action/chase scenes really didn't fit with this type of game, and at the very least they should offer a free pass if you fail a few times, or at the very least a save point right before them. A few of the puzzles had me completely stumped and then when I looked up the solution in a walkthrough, they didn't seem like anything I would have thought of doing. Really great adventure/puzzle games give you just the right amount of hints when stuck.

So yeah, overall I'm really happy that people make games like these, I feel like this explores parts of life that often aren't touched on in games. I do think the moralizing in the 3-item puzzle felt very out of place.

Great art, thoughtful and touching story. I took a chance on this despite not knowing much, and I thought it was well worth it.

This is an absolutely wonderful game that surprised me with its evocative art style and the emotions of the story. Just a really excellent experience, as long as you are ok with taking it slow and soaking in the atmosphere. One of the best games I've played in years, for sure.

I did have some problems with crashing, but those were mostly alleviated when I installed the beta branch, the password for that is "direct3dbuild", as posted by the devs on the discussion board. It's too bad the main game hasn't been fully updated to fix this issue.
