Definitely one of my favourite roguelike games. There's a lot of replayability and it's nice working out little tweaks to builds depending on what cards you are getting. The % improvement nature can make you dependent on getting certain cards early to beat the harder levels.

I thought I would try it as i'm a big AFL fan and even if the gameplay is a bit wonky, why not try. Well it's possibly the buggiest launch game I've ever tried. Every single quarter I've played today has the "opposition just decides to not kick and do nothing" which causes a holding the ball loop which ruins the game. I got this in career mode so swapped to normal games. Same thing. This game is already expensive, but being this bad as well is really sad.

The only positives I've found is the goal kicking mode. Maybe focus on making a phone app of that and seeing if you can release without bugs. Have requested a refund.

A fun little game! It's not the most complicated or difficult game in the genre but it is one you can play without thinking too much. Mostly all smooth except from a bug I've got a few times where the game is paused as the day ends, and the villagers just work endlessly without transitioning to night time.

Dive the depth is a simple style game but it's done in a way which makes it quite fun to play. You dive into a water, with different areas to explore, and immediately get put into an ecosystem of sea creatures that attack just about anything on sight. You gain experience and currency by destroying these creatures which gives you access to buying items and gaining hp. There's a lot of potential here with the different areas, and the boss fights are quite insane (and difficult). Most of all the game has a really fun game loop so i'm keen to see how it goes with a full release version!

A fun little survivors roguelite that plays pretty true to the genre. There are a number of different characters to unlock and some story scenes that are more in depth than games usually provide in these style games. The runs definitely start out quite easy but ramp up after about 10 minutes and the different abilities are fun. I found the enemy design to be more impressive than the characters.

I've enjoyed playing None Shall Intrude, and played it to make a video and have kept on going. It's simple in terms of the deck management, but some complexity if you want it, and the different elemental combinations are fun. Every now and then i get some animation FPS stutters, but nothing too big.

A really nice Metroidvania with beautiful graphics and a really fun storyline. The combat is quite simplistic with run and gun working pretty easily beyond the boss fights, and there's not a whole lot of exploration. Finished in about 6-7 hours. It's not the best game in the genre, but it's definitely worth having a play!

I actually enjoyed the concept more than I was expecting, but there's some aspects that make it really hard to enjoy. The start was really hard, sometimes loading into the world and getting enemies targeting you straight away, some doing huge amounts of damage whilst you're trying to learn and run away. The healing options are really punishing, and it's surprising that the tank is not the first class unlocked given it at least gives you a HP buffer to spend a bit more time to learn the ropes.

I only got access to the currency that lets you access the healing ability and get the tank upon dying 4 times and ending the cycle. Perhaps there's another way to gain those cards, but given how punishing dying is, I was doing everything I could to extract without dying, which actually delayed getting the upgrades I needed to do longer runs.

Despite this, despite the difficulty, despite having hordes of 7+ enemies chasing me repeatedly, and not being able to get parrying working, the thing that made me stop playing was just how the game worked as soon as a large fight/ crown battles started. I immediately got stuttering and the left and right trigger buttons were quite unresponsive. It made these fights just borderline impossible for me. I will definitely change to recommended once the developers work on their patches and look forward to revisiting in the near future.

It's simple, but quite fun, and more challenging than I was expecting. It does take a while to upgrade points after each run, and damage seems really low for the first epic bugs. But for a couple of bucks, you can lose a few hours with it for sure!

SirKwitz is a simple but fun coding game that gives you small puzzle like challenges to complete. It feels to me like an introductory education style code game to give people a taste of block/directional style coding. It's also free so I have no complaints there! I imagine you will get a good couple of hours out of it!
