Now i know i want to get this out of the way the game is fun for about almost 30 mins or so then the problems arise
the music is good the art is pretty good but the main problem is theres almsot nothing to do for a tycoon game look at almost any other tycoon game and there is way more stuff to do roller coaster tycoon basically build your own theme park moon tycoon build a surviving moon settlement. this game is missing features that would make it a good tycoon game (it has the peices to do so), right now all that it has going for it is the art and music witch i want to stress is pretty dam good and well made but it needs more features witch i hope will be added soon then i can make this a recommended review but right now i cant atleast not in good thoughts

as a fan of these types of games im going to try to give a unbais view of the game as best as i can

now the game is in early access so some features are missing/ not implamited yet so this review is on whats already there

the game takes place in a post apocalypic world of demons/ undead all dat good ♥♥♥♥ and its up to you to manage your base and build up to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ colony and for whats their the core mechinics are there and they do work and you are able to achive that goal

as your colony gets better the enemies and little quests it sends you on get harder and start hitting like trucks and for the msot part this is a guide game atleast early game and for your first few play throughs you will be getting stomped but as you improve and get better it starts to become somewhat easy.

you get to customize your colonist and requrit/save some and they will join you and hey have their own special talants and as your colonist lvl up you can add more stuff to them making them better for your colony and or killing demons or both.

Graphics wise the game looks to behonest alright not the best but not the worst but it does fit the setting so thats a plus and has its own style going on.

the few things i can ask from thsi game is mod support (witch i heard was coming), more demon archtypes besides jsut the common varity of imp, minor demon, demon, and succubus now if they add demons from the tomb of solomon and other mythos that would not only be impressive but show dedacation, Angels, fallen angels, and heros, demon lords but surelly these things are on the way so yay

do i recommend this game yes the core features works and the game is enjoyable
my only real cons with the game is somewhat pacing atleast early game its kind fo a crawl and the other is your colonists eat like the sin of gluttony hit them like trucks

I got the game after awhile bought it from gamestop (the code) and was happy cause well i love the stronghold series as my first game was Stronghold 2 and i went back and played stronghold, crusaders, crusaders extreme, and legends and every game i listed was way better than 3

at best the game is maybe late beta there are tons of bugs, Ai acts like its freaking retarded making battles un enjoyable and simple atleast the other stronghold games gave some form of challange here its almost non extistant.

the game literlly has features striped from it its basicly a worst verson of stronghol but 3D thats basiclly what it is and hell atleast Stronghold maps where bigger not small and didnt have this building limit i would excuse the building limit if the maps where bigger.

unitil they make some major improvements stay away go play the other games or stronghold crusader 2 i heard thats pretty good

While not a huge fan of turn based rpg type games this game did keep me interested
its a turn based style game where you fight on the battle feild with troops you choose depending on what campain you choose and units lvl up as they fight and gain exp witch is nice units also have stats and gain abilites as they fight
like if your skeleton slays alot of one type of unit it gains (insert unit here) slayer and they deal more dmg to that type of unit and have a higher chance of hitting that unit in combat

from what i can tell it works somewhat like DnD where the stats come into play.

your units can evolve into more powerful units and it keeps that sense of progression when you have a decked out army and fighting other armies and you have to plan it out you cant just go in willy nilly and just thinking you can steam roll though the enemy not happening and you will be punished for doing so.

the units are nice and diverse so you will always have units that arnt the same expect early game but at that point you really dont have anything besides the startting units and every unit has a role so you wont just be making the same kind of unit everytime it encourges you to mix and match your army.

the few bad things i can say is early game its hard like kind of a learning curve expect to loose a few games early on
i also notice theres like no reserve for if you want to switch out your army thats also missing and needed

all in all its fun to play if you played battle brothers its basicly this but with fantasy

Played the game on Xbox 360 thats the version i recommend you play the pc port is badly done and barely optimized for pc heck when they fix the pc port then ill recommend it but right now not a slight chance in hell

now the game itself is a deathmatch normally 10 v 10 with players of all lvl up to a cap of i believe 50 (might be 75 if im rember correctly) and the teams are made randomly so you wont get a team of all high lvl players vs a team of all low lvl players so thats a plus.

the game has 3 classes you can play witch is the fighter/tank witch carries a sheild and sword, the mage witch uses a wand and has aoe spells and some single target and a cleric witch carries a mace and a hammer and heals and buffs charaters and you can change witch class you play as when you die so you can always bring something new.

now the way this game plays you fight in the 10 v 10 deathmatch and build towers so your team can spawn at said captured towers (witch the pplayers build and the enemy can remove and build there own) and you push to destory the enemies totem (their castle tower) and win. along the way you kill enemies and gain lvls and unlock new skills (witch change ever match so you wont get the same skill in the same order every time) witch is fun and adds veratiy.

You can craft new weapons, and armor, buy them or earn them through lvling up playing the campain (yes there is a campain) witch can make your charater tougher and do more dmg and add certian buffs and some debuffs witch you can do by enchanting and enhancing .

all this good stuff so whys till not recommend well because the pc port isnt as good as the consolse port i recommend you get the console port than the pc port until the problems are ironed out or atleast most of them are then ill recommend it but as it stands no

Now this is a game i like its very well made for whats there.
the game is very and you can get alot of enjoyment out of it
now these are just my cons right now its just some small inconvances
1. lag now this is probley just do to being unstable but the game is pretty laggy until you start building your castle

and thats pretty much it the game is fun very and you can get some enjoyment out of it

if i where to add anything to the game a better birth rate, a barraks so you can train gaurds instead of your villagers/defences defending and hopefuly this will come to a village vs village or castle vs castle pvp this i dont to much care about but it would be nice.

over all as the game stands a 7/10 just from whats there alone when this game gets all its content it would easly be a 8-10/10 and probley one of the best sim castle building games out there

Its a pretty good game, the Setting and items are pretty good and the charas are also good. the only few things that hold this game back are the small number of breeds you can play as and yes i know the game is new but its kind of surpising. the coin earnings are very low unless you buy for it with sliver coins (ie real money). the shop menu when your ingame is not very well fleshed out that could use some improvement but thats just nit picking. but the worst is the matchmaking que you will be there for well atleast for me 10-30 mins. but aside from its faults its still a pretty fun game and it has alot of stuff going for it the only thing that needs to change... well updating is the shop. im sure they will add more breeds, and more stuff soon but right now it is playable and you can get fun out of it right now
