The best, most addictive, and satisfying 3rd person shooter I've played since Red Faction Guerrilla. The gameplay is simply crunchy fun.

It'll stay good till Sony decides to murder it.

Stay well and truly clear if you're mostly a solo or small group player. The game and its devs have long since abandoned making this game fun for those demographics.
The latest update for naval only doubles down on this.

In inferno, once easily accessible vehicle variants and more where all shoveled into the terrible Facility system. Facilities serve the purpose of making what was once a relatively simple logistics process into literal nightmares of tedium and constant upkeep. Only large clans have enough manpower to reasonably run facilities by splitting the maintenance tedium among members and building out large enough facilities to make the higher end vehicles. This has largely resulted in large clans hoarding resources and keeping everything locked to themselves, and really why wouldn't they. There do exist some that do what they can to share access, but that is essentially a bandaid to the hurdles the devs intentionally put between the average player and their ability to access those things.

For the naval update the devs have decided this was all a great idea and have doubled down. All the new toys are still facility only. All the new ships and spgs have exorbitant costs and construction times. Even the basic trailers are facility made only. And to add insult to injury, the new towing mechanic screws over field gun arty with nonsense undeploying and redeploying to change the aim, and the towing isn't even fast enough to be considered useful anyway. Yup, even a basic function like towing was made to be so hopelessly inept at doing something basic like pulling a gun to the front without needing a flatbed, it is instead an entirely useless mechanic.

The average small time player is no longer part of the dev's vision for this game. So save your money and go else where, it simply isn't worth your time.

A game that just has to be experienced. And once you have experienced it, it is something you will never forget. This easily falls among the great adventure experiences of Inside, Limbo, and Little Nightmares. I Couldn't possibly recommend this game enough.

Fantastic bullet hell game. It's Realm of the Made God, but with every area improved. However, it's almost not fair to compare it to RotMG because of how much farther Steam Birds has grown into its own thing.

The graphics are colorful and clear with an emphasis on what's important for the players immediate attention (bullets/enemies). The backdrop and everything else only further bring the graphics together for a beautiful yet cheerily cartoonish feel.

The gameplay is super tight, easily one of the best feeling bullet hells out there. It is challenging but not so extraordinarily difficult that you feel like you are facing an insurmountable wall of difficulty. Regardless you'll always feel a sense of satisfaction at having made it through a difficult boss fight no matter how many times you play it.

I especially need to mention the two different play styles available. There are twin stick planes (where movement and aim are separate) and single stick planes (where aim is dependent on movement and facing). The two styles both play uniquely to such a degree that it feels like playing a new game when changing styles. It is always a breath of fresh air to play one style for a while and swap to the other if things start to get a little boring. There are several plane classes that all give a great deal of variety to try out and find what you find most entertaining.

Most importantly the devs have shown how clearly they care about the game and community. They take community feedback seriously and are quick to respond to game issues.

Highly recommend giving the game a try. And the best part is you can get into it for free. I don't often write reviews, but this is one game I simply had to leave a recommendation for.

Edit: The devs continue to adapt the game to the player base, responding to player feed back to provide more free goodies in terms of storage, plane slots, and softening the perma death,

If your any kind of self respecting RTS fan, you should own this game. Also, if you remember what it was like playing with all those micromachine soldiers and vehicles (remember them?), this time they come with heart pleasing explosions.

Never played a more satisfying RTS. Wargame doesn't emphasize the clickfest like play of SC or SC2, but instead goes with making your tactical and strategic decisions matter far more. Macromanagement is finally on an even ground with micromanagement, and probably more valuable in this game then micro.

8/10 definatly a worthy space shooter. Has very nice customization of ship equipment, and a solid "level up" system (more like researching things). Worth the time to play and good replay value. Few bugs around, most have been fixed, and more updates on the way for it to expand on it. Its graphics arn't half bad , but some of the effects can be underwhelming, but entertaining none-the-less.
