I initially didn't plan to get this DLC, but someone gifted it to me so I can update my mod with the new LL and units.
The DLC is way too expansive compared to content.
There are not a TONS of units as announced, but just a few ones, including RoR which are not really "new" units. The few we have are relatively interesting for Cathay, but for Kislev they ar not that good. The Ashkina feel out of theme, and the monsters are strange to have in regular armies.

The mechanism for the LL seems to be fun, but I really don't like how Mother Ostyanka and Yuan Bo starts far from home.
I could understand a kind of random start to increase replayability, and having SOMETIME a LL in a mission far away... But as it is now, having LL starting a bit everywhere, kind of dilute the immersion for me.

And we still have way too many bugs, even if CA seems to make some effort recently, it's still too little too slow.

Maybe if CA increase the pace of bug corrections and come back to more solid content and gameplay I'll change the review later.

As it is now, I would not recommend the DLC, at least not at this price, I think it's worth 16-18 €.

So far, I have bought game 1 and 2, with all the DLC.
And pre ordered WH3 and its DLC. And I was a bit disappointed. It has a lot of potential, new interesting races and factions... But still has a lot of small bugs, which are fixed at a very slow pace, or not at all. They are not game breaking, but are annoying.
AI is too passive, settlement battles a bit too tedious and the "popup" towers, almost unanimously disliked, are still where one year later, although CA said they will improved that, still not done.

And now, we get the latest DLC, very overpriced compared to content, with no hint of explanation from CA. The DLC is 25 €, which is almost half the cost of the game! So far, I considered DLC to be a bit expensive, but they delivered fair content. That's no longer the case.

So I will not pre ordered it, and wait for a sale to get it when it will in the 15-18 € range.

I could easily afford it if I wish, but I won't buy something when the price isn't fair compared to base game of other DLC.

CA is losing customer faith quickly, and it's a lot easier to lose it than regain it.

So they should start to rethink their strategy

- Improve bug fixing. There are hundreds of them, small ones, but put together they are annoying. And the Ciommunity Bug Fix mod already tackled a good part: why CA can't capitalize on that to integrate the fix in the base game is beyond me.

- really listen to feedback and improve AI or siege, saying "we are aware of the problem" is not sufficient one year after release.

- Reduce cost of DLC, or put more content for the same price, and AT LEAST communicate and explain their new cost policy.

As it is now, I wouldn't recommend getting the game or DLC at full price, wait for sales.

The beginner experience is a short demo version of the game, but it was sufficient to make may decide to support the dev team by buying the early access version.

Installed the game to try.
20 minutes spent trying to simply it the first ennemy ship, without success: my own ship is turning too slowly to catch... Changing the controller setting had not effect...
Uinstalled the game

The game in itself is nice, but I cannot recommend the game anymore.

When I first bought it, I could play it fine.

But with the recent update (I believe after core fighter), the game has become unplayable: it was stuck after the starting screen with the waves, where it asks to hit the A/M key. I tried all the keys on my keyboard.

I reported the issue October 10, and got several messages from support, with different suggestion (such as using Windows with the keyboard only, no mouse to avoid interference....). Nothing worked.

Yesterday they released a patch to solve it (2 months later)

I tried. I can pass the welcome screen.... And then I have a message "saying you have a new title, and again asking to press the A/M key"... And I'm stuck again.

If they make patches every 2 months and I can go one screen further each time, maybe I'll be able to play the game again next summer.

One of the best Total War game for immersion. The pace of battle, the smoke of muskets, the voice in original language make a nice experience
