this game and its devs did not deserve the unjustified hatred and review bombing by the hypocrite brigade. my respect and money is given to anyone who stands their ground against them.

anyways the game its self seems very interesting its a fantasy life simulator in the vein of dwarf fortress more or less.

the only people who should be buying this game are dragon ball fans. if your looking for a fun and engaging and fair fighting game you wont find it here. but if you dont care for a riveting plotline and just want experience the dragon ball universe and just want fan service xenoverse 2 has you covered.

because of that even though i personally enjoy the game i cannot recommend this game sense it seems dimps has gone full paradox mode with their dlc and the dlc will set you back a couple of 100$ even with a sale.

word cannot express what a letdown this game was for me what a waste of 60$ sense i wont be doing multiplayer. yes its pretty and well presented the folks who worked on it clearly have a appreciation for the franchise. but honestly as far as the plot goes i wish they had just remade cataclysm/emergence beat for beat instead of wasting time on this disney star wars tier slop for a plot.

if you have to get this get it dirt cheap during a christmas sale or some s**t.

okay look the transition into hd-3d did not do these games any favors and cost these games alot of its original soul and charm. the flipside is you can play this absolute classic on modern hardware. i havnt really played it long enough to determine any of the nerd stuff like unit stats and all that so i cant tell you if theres any differences there youll have to find another more in depth review for that stuff but i still highly recommend this series especially for anyones first foray into the rts genre.

if you must get it i strongly advise you wait till it drops down to like 10$ or whatever during a sale.

honestly i love this game but it has 2 major problems 1 is the matchmaking which keep pairing me with people who leave immediately before the ship is even set up or grief the ship. 2 no public co-op servers. so if you must get this game i suggest you get it on sale and i strongly recommend you have friends to play with.

WHY HASNT THIS GOT A REMASTER?!

this game is 21 years old as of 2024 and still better then ubisoft.

any title you buy from ubisoft is temporary and can be taken away at any time for any bs reason they can come up with.
