A bit pricey for what you get, so i would recommend it on a sale.

The Hive guard are great and the only reason to buy this dlc. They fill a very important roll as a viscous anti tank option with their shock cannons. The impalers are neat character snipers as they ignore cover mostly...

...uhh the broodlord. This is the reason i think this dlc is overpriced. This thing has just an absurd points cost for what it does, which is a shame since it supports genestealers which really need some help, but this beast is not it.
Its paroxysm would have been a great ability if it did not have measly 3 range... so the broodlords triggers most overwatch before it can disable it... just wrong design

The best turn based 40k game i have played, flat out!

This game has nigh infinite potential!
Just give us more of it! Gear options! Factions! units!

Though it has some issues
-The sound is just a mess, what is there is really good. Like the different sounds movement makes based on terrain or every weapon sound that is there is on point!... though allot of things do flat out not have sound, like weapon impacts or lots of melee attacks, the voice lines are a bit generic and very repetitive as well

-it lacks a PROPER tyranid story campaign and the necrons did not get one either. This is not a problem for those who do not mind the spacemarine/imperium focus in such things, but for me this is just disappointing, just tiring at this point (im talking about "age of crimson dawn" equivalents, im aware that p.supremacy exists)

I knew this game was good... but i did not know it was this good!
Yes it is old! Yes i had to fix the mouse sensitivity! Yes it looks just passable (honestly expected worse from such old game)!
Thats it, thats the few nitpicks i have with this!
The rest is a instant blast. You are instantly in the action, with such a underused perspective and story.
Also this game is dark, rough, bloody & messy! I have never seen star-wars portrayed so gritty, which is an absolute plus!
The weapons, melee & orders are clunky at first, but they are so intuitive that within seconds of playing you will not care about that anymore.
Last but no least... the enemy designs might be my favorite now in the star-wars universe; even the normal B1-Battledroids at least look intimidating and not to spoil anything; the rest of the enemys do not only look deadly, they actually are!

After replaying dow2 again, i wished Segarelic expanded it even more and gave us a ture "Company of heros 40k" instead of running the series into the ground with Dow3 which was just a insulting cashgrab.
All of Dow 1 and 2 is great.
Do yourself a favor and get these if you like rts and/or 40K!
Although mechanics, lore and units are a bit outdated now, it still hold up great!

This game is a gateway to an absolute treasure-trove of entertainment! Its easy to use, has constantly increasing free content through the workshop and has one of the nicest and most helpful communities one can engage with!

Mod it til it breaks, reorganise your mods, than mod some more. I have 3 pages of mods, mods within mods, the base game is just the foundation for all your mods. Mods.
