imagine the mech warrior universe would get such gameplay

good and often i prefer shorter games, but i wished more for a metal slug approach where its more arcade focused which would add a lot of replay value

This game is pretty rough around its edges but is nonetheless a very great diablo style game without the annoying parts of diablo 3.

Okay game. I would give it a Meh between Yes and No if this would be a option.

The only reason I play this is because with friends the game does not feel like a gigantic chore.
This game is extremely slow and it takes ages to get anything done after the two first bosses.

Gameplay features like the stamina system only exacerbate the problem and slow things even further down. You need it for everything and you have to take frequent brakes between whatever you are doing.

Traveling anywhere is also slow and any metal ores or bars cannot be transported via portals to force you to use a ship, because how else could they stretch out the rather meager content of the game.

Talking of content. They are still adding stuff but it will take ages until this game will be out of early access and it will a lot of QoL improvements that make the tediousness less tedious.

The draw distance is hideous and structures you build and areas you terraformed will not show until you are very close.

In overall i recommend looking for another game that offers similar gameplay and is in a more developed state. If you want to have a viking setting and/or have friends that help you speed things up and make them less tedious then go for it.

Maybe if it becomes F2P, because this game feels like one.

Released in an utterly broken state and shortly after the whole company went silent for a few months. Afterwards the content trickled in a very slow pace and often it was the size of a small patch. So much for "live service". Still missing features promised at launch and crafting is trash.

The most polished part of this game is the premium shop and it was the first thing post release that received a hotfix. Like day 1 or 2.
They also lied and added back the item shop rotation after removing it because of a huge backlash (because of the reasons mentioned above)

This should tell you where the priorities are.

I recommend Deep Rock Galactic instead. Does everything better and can be played offline.

Its a quite slow game but playing around with the economy and being able to "investigate" each factor that influences the countries wealth is interesting.

Warfare only needs you to appoint a general and point it towards a front and i personally dont need more. Most of the game focuses on forming the economy and laws of your country.
Increasing your borders and influences often involves weaponizing you economy and/or making other countries your puppet.

Dont buy this game and expect a CIv game or a Hoi4.
Maybe the devs will add warfare that involves the player more in the future.

More events smaller events in parts of your country would be nice.

Did not expect anything got positively surprised.

I have no performance issues and crashes, this could be due to my decent setup
but I also heard that even good PCs do have issues.

Gameplay and fighting is fun. Sneaking is meh so I rarely do when optional.
Fighting is slowish but makes it also more tactical which I like. Targeting needs improvement though.
