Squad is the most responsive developer of an early access beta I've ever seen. The improvements over time to the stability and gameplay that they've made are substantial, and the places you can go in the sandbox are endless. KSP is a fun dive into aerospace engineering and space travel, with a bit of a steep learning curve to get off the ground. The reward you feel after nailing your first orbit in a new spacecraft, landing a kerbal successfully on a distant planet, or finishing off an epic low Kerbin orbit space station is one of the simply greatest experiences in gaming, and gives you some real appreciation for how hard the REAL things that NASA does and have plans for are.
