You don't have to be a genius to figure out that the only reason why they'd want you to log in using anything else other than Steam Account would be data collection. If you don't allow users of the platform to log in with their accounts, how about you get the hell off that platform?

Great game

Okay, after my topics warning people from buying this game have been constantly removed I decided to go here.

This game is dead and done, if you are a newcomer to Natural Selection, do not buy it under any circumstances, take your money and spend in on some other game. There are many arguments why you should not buy it, so for the sake of clarity I will display them in a list:

- Matchmaking is nonexistent, which means you will be constantly running into championship winners going 50-2 and destroying any hopes you had of having fun. Additionally, you are kicked out of rookie-only servers after passing a certain level threshold, which takes about 3 hours to reach. Surely after those 3 hours you should be dominating the players that played this game for the past 2 years everyday!

- Server rules are enforced by hypocrites, and filled with worthless plugins. The most annoying of them is "hive skill" which in 75% of the cases prevents you from playing on a team you want to play on. Want to play Marines? too bad! you need to be on alien team to perfectly balance the game with your 100 skill score. Admins don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about anything and there are ZERO official servers maintained by devs, which leads to...

- Flaming and toxicity. They are literally outstanding in this game, as a rookie/new player you will constantly find yourself being insulted by man-children, and as I said admins will not even bat an eye. The only method of dealing with them is muting everyone's voicechat. Doing so will surely help you win considering factors mentioned above.

- Censorship is ever-prevalent on the Steam Discussion page of this game. Several of my topics have been removed by moderators just because I tried to warn people not to buy this game. It's filled with fanatics spending thousands of dollars on one studio for whatever reason.

- Optimization of this game is horrible. It's been made in custom engine which shows. For several years after the release only the strongest rigs could handle this game. It's been improved marginally with a lot of options FOR GRAPHICAL SETTINGS. Do not buy this game if you have weak computer, you will be laughed at by a community of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

But wait, you can command in this game, right?! it gotta be cool! WRONG!

Try and jump into a commander seat, I dare you. You will be ejected after ~5 minutes, denying you content and satisfaction. Keep commanding and you will get banned. Banned for trying to enjoy the content you paid for.

Honestly, they should either make it FREE or remove this game entirely. This game could have been good but it's one big ball of FAILURE that nobody is watching over.

Very good game. Some people's reviews may invoke the argument of "grinding". Sure, there is grind, but literally everything can be bought by an in-game currency, so unlike any other games out there.

Some reviews also concern the optimization of the game, I can't really say that I've had any problems myself, considering the amount of options that can be adjusted for smooth gameplay, even with a low-grade PC.

The only downside I see is devs pushing changes or not addressing the problems that annoy the playerbase at all, but let's be real - You can't please the entire playerbase.

If you like WW2 games, open map FPS or even RTS to some extent, then go ahead and give this game a shot.

Waste of time. Another call-of-duty clone with no effort put in before release destined only to milk money.

A cool, but very grindy game.

You want more vehicles? PAY

You want new vehicles faster? PAY

You want to train your crew faster? PAY

You're high level and want to buy high level tanks? PAY ( the costs at higher tiers are ridiculous)

Basically, you have to pay for everything. I don't really understand why games like World of Tanks or War Thunder need to be more grindy than all MMO's combined. Wouldn't recommend this one to anyone without deep, deep pockets. or ALOT, ALOT of time

I will make it quick and simple:

Cons:

-The optimization is bad - Was lagging like I would have 100+ ping even tho it wasn't that way.
-Uncomplete translation - You will still see things in Russian language even tho you're playing on english version of the game.
-Money sink - As stated above, devs probably tried to make game with quick profit because you have to buy literally EVERYTHING - Vehicles,weapons,equipment etc. with real life money.

Pros:

-Good idea - I really like the style of Ace of spades's, althought it was poorly executed. I hope that in full version there will be better physics, more block types etc.
- Many gamemodes.

In short: Game is good, but the immense amount of microtransactions break and destroy everything that's good about it.

It once was a great game, now it does not even allow you to quit.
