The short version is "this game is really dull and should be more fun than it is"

The long version is, as a new player in 2025, this game offers very little. Gear is locked behind progression or currency, so as a new player the gameplay loop tends to go:

- Get to a big fight
- Die
- Respawn, head back to fight, maybe get one kill with my basic ass gun if I get the drop on someone
- Die
- Profit?

Death has a variety of flavours at least. Maybe I'll run into a tank I have no way of hurting, so I'll swap to heavy and head back to kill the tank, only to be one-shot by an invisible sniper. I decide I'm going to deal with that sniper, so I switch out to light assault and try to flank where they killed me from and then get run over by someone doing donuts in a jeep. Rinse and repeat.

Yes, there is a skill issue, I'm solidly average at shooters but there is nothing about this game that encourages me to keep at it until I'm good. Each class starting with 1 weapon and no alternatives is bad, if my option as a heavy is bad machinegun and nothing else it's not a good experience.

At times it feels bullet spongy, with enemies taking almost a full clip from most guns to kill.

On the positive side, when the big battles are kicking off it feels great. Charging across a field with barely any cover to try and storm an enemy base is epic.

Unfortunately, when you get into those bases, it all falls flat. Fighting constantly re-spawning enemies sounds fun, but it looses some of it's appeal when they can just shoot you from inside their impenetrable spawn rooms. Player built buildings are destructible (probably too destructible, they fully vanish when destroyed, which takes very little time) but pre-built ones are not, so it doesn't matter if 50 tanks are shelling a building, enemies can just sit inside them and not care about what's going on outside.

I want this game to be better, I think it could be super fun if they made the new player loop more enjoyable.

Simple and fun. If you got some time and like old school, side scroll web shooters (usually staring stick men) then this is a great game for you
