For 50 cents, this game is rather a pleasant surprise and is definitely worth that price.

Pros: - Good mix of simple but repetitive puzzles/platforming and wave shooting. Just make sure to keep checking the walls for interactive panels!
- 7 levels that each have something unique added to the basic formula (new enemies, new
puzzle items)
- Enemies can be challenging at times if they bunch up on you, but never ragequit difficult.
- 3 weapons (pistol, assault rifle, and shotgun) with frequent ammo drops that regenerate
over time.
- Health regen
- Graphics are pretty good considering the low price.
- Easy achievements (simply complete each level to get them all)

Cons: - Landing hits on enemies is very iffy but not a major problem as ammo is plentiful.
-No jump button, which makes platforming more difficult than it needs to be.
- Checkpoints are not as frequent as they should be in most levels.
- LIght ordering puzzles are very buggy
- Weapon switching is extremely slow

Fun little adventure game about restoring color to a city that thrives on it. It combines the one button platforming of Assassin's Creed with the combat of the Batman Arkham games. Short game though, so wait for a sale.

This game is an absolute steal for the 2 bucks I paid for. Graphics are very good for any game developer let alone a smaller company like Badfly. Gameplay is like a mix of Borderlands weapon looting and Killing Floor shooting. Enemies include zombies, soldiers, drones, and cyborg bosses.

The one cool thing about this game is the surprising amount of simple puzzles that range from matching up 2 patterns to mathematical equations. It is a nice change of pace to include this in between the shooting and killing, as you have to use your brain a little. I never thought I would say that about a zombie game.

There are a lot of story, survival, lone wolf, and other missions I haven't even tried yet, so you definitely get your money's worth. It's a shame the community for this game is pretty much dead because it is a lot of fun for a cheap price.

Very creepy game that has a ton of spelling errors that somewhat diminish the overall atmosphere of the game, especially during the cutscenes. You play a detective that must figure out the motive behind the murders in an old house. The puzzles are the best part of the game, as they range from combinations locks, visual deception, and other puzzles I have never seen in other games before. Jump scares are pretty frequent in the predictable locations but still will make your heartbeat skip.

This game does not have visible icons for checkpoints so it is impossible to tell when progress is saved. For that reason I had to play through the game in one sitting. Also the lack of a run button means your character will have to slowly walk around the house which is annoying considering you have to backtrack a number of times. The house is pretty small though. The achievements in the game didn't activate until after I exited back to the desktop, so just a heads up.

I still recommend this game if it is really cheap (under 2 bucks) just because the puzzle design is impressive and it still manages to be scary despite the many spelling and grammar errors. Also one guy made this game with another guy that helped translate it to English from Vietnamese, so that alone is amazing.

Without a doubt the worst game I have ever played. Controls are wonky, character facial animations are stiff, and the voice acting is uninspired. I also experienced a few game breaking glitches that caused my character to fall off the map and even other characters I had to kill to progress the story, which forced me to restart the level from the beginning.

The gameplay is about killing people in ways that look like freak accidents (some you just kill directly) but setting up these kills is tedious as you have to gather items from around a mansion with hints that are extremely vague to decipher.

The only reason I could recommend this game is if you are a fan of the Omen movie from the 70s or the Hitman series, as it is basically a Hitman game repackaged to suit Damien (or in this case Lucius).

Every so often a game comes along that pushes the limits of spectacular action. Then there are games like MGR: Revengeance that blow away the competition BIGLY. It is basically Gundam Wing/Devil May Cry on steroids. Here is an example of what to expect in the game (non plot related spoiler):

One of the first bosses in the game has you skipping across missiles that it is shooting at you on the way to slash it up.

10/10

More of what made the first game so great: reasonably challenging, clever puzzles (not rage inducing difficult or too easy) and a very creepy atmosphere that does not resort to cheap scares. The puzzles involve unlocking a box but in order to do that, you must first solve a number of smaller puzzles in a room with several different objects. A lot of clicking and interacting with objects in a way that makes sense. There was never a point in the game where I questioned the logic of a puzzle.

Whether you are a puzzle or Lovecraft fan or just like a spooky game, this is well worth a purchase to support the indie developer.

Best first person survival horror game I've played and I have played a bunch. The reason is because the game does a good job at letting you fight or flee your way to survival, which games like Outlast or Amnesia don't do. Your weapons include a melee weapon, revolver, shotgun, flamethrower (by far the most useful weapon in the game), and a bolt gun. However the ammo is very limited so you won't be able to blow away everything you see, it's only enough to get by certain parts of levels. Also the Alien can hear the noises and one hit kill you at close range so that is highly discouraged. You can also craft helpful tools like molotovs and smoke grenades by salvaging materials from objects and dead bodies. If you decide to flee from danger, you can hide in lockers, vents, underneath tables, etc. Whichever playstyle you choose, the atmosphere is constantly intense and terrifying because of how the Alien stalks you for much of the game. I highly recommend this game if you are a fan of action/survival horror games.

After playing this game for about 4 months and achieving maximum infamy level (XXV-100). I can wholeheartedly recommend this game to any fan of shooters. The shooting mechanics work very well (except for LMGs, which don't allow you to ADS for some reason) and teamwork is key to success on Overkill and Deathwish difficulties. Each team member can deploy bags of ammo, health, turrets, bring C4, etc., so you can mix and match with each other to find a combo that works for the heist you will play.

The activities in each level are very repetitive with them being mostly grabbing/throwing bags around, fixing drills that always break down or interacting with something that usually takes some time. The cool thing about each level though is that they have randomly generated elements such as order of activities, location of exit area, etc. You will rob banks, FBI offices, Russian facilities, hotels, etc. in search of money and XP. Each level contains enemies such as cops and SWAT units for you to gun down. Also there are the special enemies: Shields, Tazers, Cloakers, and Bulldozers.

Each crew member has the ability to mark these guys for a short time, so you can focus on taking them down first. Shields are easiest to kill if you have a knockdown skill, explosives, or armor piercing rounds. Tazers are kind of a hassle to deal with if you can't see them but they usually make an electronic sound that means they are about to taze you. If you are tazed, you still have a chance to shoot them before you go down but it is difficult if he is far away. Cloakers are by far the most annoying enemy type in the game. When you hear an Alien-type sound look around you to kill him before he knocks you down with one jump kick. Dozers are heavily armored and slow but easy if you have a decent gun such as LMG, snipers, or explosives.

After each successful heist, your team will be rewarded with one pick of three facedown cards that gives you a gun mod, a mask, mask material/pattern/color, or a rare safe that contains weapons skins that can be used or sold for money on the Steam marketplace. You can also do this at any time via the Crime.net Offshore Payday feature.

The music is pretty intense too, with an original electronic score by Simon Viklund and a few by Le Castlevania. If you like House or Dubstep, you will be at home. There are also some country-style rock songs and orchestral tracks thrown in for good measure.

I also agree with the criticisms about the microtransactions, but that does not change my favorable opinion of Payday 2. Some of the paid DLC include guns that are actually inferior in many ways to the default guns available. So in that sense it is not necessarily P2W. Ever since update 100, I believe the game has been improved. Grenades are now free of charge for everyone and safes can now be opened for free.

Last but not least, you WILL get kicked by the host for some reason. I can speak from experience as a host and non-host. Just make sure to ask the host via text or voice chat if something you are about to do is acceptable to him or her. Communication is vital to ensure that you actually stay in the game and not miss out on any valuable cash and XP. Other times you might get kicked for being a low level or maybe even pick up C4 before the host does (actually happened to me). Just to be safe, try to host games as much as possible so you don't have to worry about all this.

I can see what the hype was about. Great mix of action, drama, and tension among other things. The dialogue in the game can be pretty funny but is mostly depressing, which is to be expected. The choices you make in the game really do have a strong impact in the later stages and the limited time to choose keeps you on your toes.
