This is just a first impression at the moment im about halfway through the game:

this remake blew me away so far, atmosphere, sound design and graphics are top notch. Bloober really nailed what I've played so far and ill be excited to see the last few areas.

just a note performance needs some work as even with a 4090 and I-9, 64 gb of ram and on a ssd there quite a few frame drops for me playing at 120 fps and playing at 2k resolution.

EDIT: now that ive finished the game its a solid 8/9 out of 10 imo great atmosphere, the sound design and of course the story of the original game is told well here. points are mainly docked by perfomance which i installed some of the mods from nexus to address some of the issues as well as by the end of it was kinda bog downed by combat which was okay at first but due to the length of it on my first run through it was starting to get to me

i would highly recommend this game if you played the trials of mana recent remake, this game improves heavily on it. it is akin to classic JRPG like rogue galaxy and a little of the star ocean series. very easy game to get into various settings to adjust characters playstyles and a plethora of classes and abilities. he has a slighly slow start and tedious fetch quest, however the main quest story and gameplay are the main draws here.

overall it would range from a 7-9 out of 10 depending on your love of JRPGS and how forgiving you are to some of the tedium and minor frame drops here and there

after the 2.0 update i'm having a blast with the game, highly recommend it especially if you have a high end rig to blast the graphics of this game and enjoy the visual aspects of it as well.

really nice take on a top down A RPG which has some elements of souls as well as resource gathering. It does have some performance issues however the devs have been working non stop since EA launch and a lot of the issues have been addresed and fixed.

Inventory Management or lack of it needs to be addressed and some quality of life features such as being able to craft from items within storage.

Its EA game ive already sunk a good chunk of hours just in the first act alone and still having a blast with it so far if you have a decent mid range PC id recommend this
