Game does not feel like it is worth picking up in the current state, Oct. 2024. They had some good ideas about how to make the game feel like the Deep Rock Galactic experience, but most of those factors become meaningless within a few minutes on higher difficulty maps.

Does an okay job at showing the current state of the weapons, but some things like "What does this status effect do?" are completely unexplained anywhere in the game itself.

It is appealing to look at, but in terms of the game itself, there are dozens in the genre that do the actual feel of the game better. Maybe it will be a solid game to recommend at one point, but not now.

The game is just not well put together. The game mechanically just lags my entire computer at every screen transition, loading screen, or visit to the save/teleport/level up screen. The actual feel of the combat in the basic attacks is not very enjoyable. Higher difficulty fights devolve into massive high mobility screen-covering garbage where the only real way to deal with anything is to use the game's parry mechanic. The game's developer is clearly of the ilk of the most toxic of any community since they decided it would be a good idea to have what amounts to the in game narrator make passive aggressive insults at you through the entire game. The story and world-building are edge-lord rehashes of better titles at best.

Just avoid this unless you are extremely bored.

The game is not difficult, it is just not fun. I can not recommend wasting time installing this game, even if you get it for free. Every experience this game provides is covered better by other games.

This game has some qualities you might like from the prospective of a metroidvainia, but I strongly advise you to look elsewhere for your enjoyment. The prime reason for this is that the game developers clearly have no respect for the player's time in this game; from the general design decisions with level and area design, to enemy drop rates, to their handling of deaths.

The movement and combat in this game are very stiff. To be fair, this seems to be intentional and maybe further item upgrades will make movement less awful, but I doubt it. Item upgrades won't fix the slow and stiff combat system that feels like a chore to engage in.

There might be a decent game here, but I am not going to bother finding out. There are a massive number of graphical bugs that are headache inducing despite stable FPS. The game is playable, but I am not going to put the effort in with how terrible it is look at.

This game is OK at best. If all you do is play through enough to unlock all of the worlds and abilities, the game is worthwhile. That said, if you try and play throug the entirety of the game, you will be disapointed. The exploration and platforming can be fun, but the combat is worthless. This is made worse by the fact there are only 3 enemy types and the bosses are not very rewarding.
