A long one, no TL;DR

Got me hooked immediately, I played 13 hours in two days.

Relaxing and fun game to play, lots of different things to do to help the war effort and fellow soldiers. Like scrapping resources, producing weapons, ammo, building materials and vehicles. Treating the injured and/or shooting the enemies.

There are no classes, but players can roleplay different roles depending on what equipment they pick up at the base and how they use their imagination. You can be a logistic pioneer and build defenses as the army pushes forward. A scrapper and manufacturer (backbone of the army and most important role, imo) to produce armaments, gear, medical supplies and building materials. A medic to heal the injured or a normal frontline soldier equipped with rifles, smgs, Hmgs and such.

There are thirteen different maps and they are huge, it takes a long time to reach the frontlines from base if you're on foot, so logistics drivers are usually waiting for players and drive them to the frontlines.

It's a persistent war simulation, it takes hours, days, weeks and months of real time to research and produce tanks and high tier weapons, such as V2 rockets and the newly added five manned battle tanks.

There is a rank system, you'll gain rank when other players commend you when you do well. Being a medic or a logistics pioneer is a good way to gain commends, since you're always helping and under the eyes of hundreds of players daily. If you like to shoot people and gain rank, do well during operations made by higher ranked players you'll have a good chance of being commended by them.

The community is friendly and very welcoming, at least on the Wardens side. When I spawned for the first time, there were experienced players who gathered groups of newbies and taught them all the basics they needed to know. Trolls and griefers and pretty fast dealt with by kicking and nobody tolerates them.

Some great and memorable experiences I've had.

I spawned to the warfront, I asked where men are needed mostly and I was asked to join a bridge defense operation in Callahan's Boot. The operation already consisted of five other players. I walked there and asked how things are, they told me to sit tight and wait for the enemy. Once night came, they tried to push the bridge with a 15.7mm machine gun, but we fought back and succesfully defended the bridge couple of times. When we ran out of frags they took the bridge from us, forcing us to retreat to the town. We were losing SS = soldier supplies (spawn points) on the HQ we had in the town.

We defended the town over an hour, until we finally got logistics people to bring us supplies, such as grenades, gas masks, SS and building supplies so we could push the enemy back, take control of the bridge and build more defenses.

Over time we got more people to join the operation from other towns as the enemy tried to flank us from the East and six soldiers were not enough to hold the bridge and the East flank. In four hours, our numbers had grown from six players to around fifty. We failed to push the East flank so the enemy pushed into the town and destroyed our HQ and we couldn't spawn there anymore.

We were fighting a losing battle, one by one we lost men and our ammunitions and medic supplies were dwindling quite fast. Around six hour mark we lost Callahan's Boot to the overwhelming and well supplied enemy forces. I quit playing, but the next day I logged in, we had already taken Callahan's Boot back. Presumably that happened when I was sleeping and working (Persistent warfare).

On the next day, I joined an operation called, "Guirrella boys" in a different warfront. We were a small team of players who used a barge to go behind the enemy lines via ocean routes, to kill enemy logi players and blow up their supply trucks on the roads, so our fellow players could push the front more easily.

We had to be very careful, since our closest HQ (spawn point) was a long distance away, so dying was really bad for the team. We were hunted down pretty fast by a armored car and I was one of the first ones to fall. It was a very exciting experience and I was left crawing more, so I waited until the rest of the team died and spawned to the HQ. We prepared for another querrilla operation, which, sadly ended at the beach we went ashore. Because the enemy players had build a pillbox (wooden bunker) equipped with HMG to protect the shore line and they slaughtered us like it was D-Day in Normandy.

I warmly recommend this game.

It used to be a good game. Then the Overkill got greedy, they lied to us by saying there will never be micro transactions. And now there is.

I played this game trough couple of times via Xbox360. I Bought the PC version and played 6 hours until I got bored. The story is boring, in my opinion. But this is internet, and no ones allowed to have an opinion, so I have to say that this game is good and blaah blaah blaah..
