Very annoying game, especially if you want to look for collectibles... story is very me h..

After a long time a really good game - very nice art style, mysterious, but fun story, multiple endings, if you don't look it up enough to explore :)

It's a bit short, but with 11(12?) endings it's still quite some time.

I really liked it!

I would really like to write a positive review because I am a huge id fan, but Rage 2 feels like a first person copy of Mad Max combined with the not so nice features of Rage.

The missions are tedious, there's no real sniper rifle and what I miss the most (especially the first game had it) are visible upgrades (neither weapons nor vehicle armor upgrades change something of the model).

And the last point, the cars - the new main car is nice and all, but where is my dust buggy?
Where is my Caprino? Where is my effin' Monarch?!

It gets a meh from me, the only id game (counting from Wolfenstein 3D) that I don't like, seems there was a reason why I never played it until now.

Very short and very bad game - don't get me wrong, I've played my share share of good short games.
But this here seems to have been made relatively in a rush and the English translation is really bad.
Also some of the achievements won't work, if that's important to you.

I don'T even want to review the game mechanics, becausethey re not the sad part about this game...
It's the dialog that makes this game really very bad - it sounds like a child has written it and the dubs are bad both in English but also in the German original.

I really want to give this game a good rating but...

The controlls are completely wonky (I get that that should be due to it taking place in water, but "Narcosis" is as well and behaves so much better).
For what it is, the needed PC specs are way too high.
The AI is stupid as a rock, meaning the big baddy is not just slow, but you can also just pass - even if your coming head-on.
Also the ending is really weak.

My Pros are that it tries to set it in the Lovecraftian Mythos and....
No wait, that was it - not worth it.

What to say, what to say...

I like the idea of this game, but there are some thing that it is missing.

To begin with working animations would be great - the monster is modelled, but when clicking the attack button it just spasms around, if doing actually anything - i needed like 5 restarts to actually get, that it kinda worked when I pressed my mousebutton - I already started to try other keyboartd button.

Which brings me to my next point - since it is hard to see if the input works, maybe an option to change the mapping.

And last but not least it is very short - even with restarting 5 times I finished it in 15 minutes.

So if these points would get some attention I'd actually pay money for it, probably up to 10€.

This is an absolutely beautiful game.
I had to play two times and I cried at end end even the second time.

An absolute must play!

I don't lnow what to say, but the gameplay is wonky, the puzzles are as for all PnC's sometimes quite frustrating and the synch is really bad - terible actually.

It is a very beautiful game with good music and nice characters, BUT:

the controls feel like an old game or a not finishe ones.
There is no Auto-Lock on enemies and also just afew bound keys - I would realy like this game more, if Wolfire could update the controlls to a somewhat mordernised version.

Also the level design isquite well, but it feels like it should have been an open world game and not divided in all these (way to short) segments.

So that's the reason why I'm giving this game a negative review - not because it's bad per se, but because it is not what it could be.
