With this overpriced-as-hell addon, you can simulate being on one of various nuclear-powered terrorist American ships named after famous war criminals and racist politicians.

This is total propaganda, just like most war shows and films, Top Gun BS, etc. Simply because something is more realistic or whatever doesn't mean it isn't also inherently propaganda.

This addon would be ideal for simulating being Israel's babysitter while the Secretary of State goes on another "diplomatic" tour blowing hot air, and protecting economic interests because they're threatened by some less organized military force that poses almost no threat to them, and only because they're there being World Police in the first place.

What's also especially idiotic is them naming ships after horrific battles and stuff. It's even worse to name a ship after John Stennis, Theodore Roosevelt, or Harry Truman. These are all horrible people, and these aircraft carriers represent the most horrible government that's existed post-World War 2. Not to mention some of the nasty stuff during and before then that regularly gets swept beneath the rug.

However, it's also no wonder and quite revealing that the US military would name their ships after horrible individuals like that, considering that it is such a horrible organization, defending a horrible country.

It's sad that even considering everything the Russians have done up to this point that your government and military have still outdone them by such a large margin.. they could even invade another large country and be responsible for killing a million more people and it still probably wouldn't catch up with the amount of terrorism and destruction that the US has been responsible for throughout the decades.

I bet that a few of the United States' allies are jealous of their snottiest ally, France, having the only other nuclear-powered aircraft carrier on the planet like these American ones.

"Why can't we have one *also* and project terrorism around the planet like the cool kids do?!" They let Israel have nuclear weapons, so why not one of these?

Lastly, I suggest boycotting all Eagle Dynamics products. They are an unethical and distasteful company.

The "Flaming Cliffs" jets (non-full fidelity) are for the birds. It's ridiculous that they just added in F-5, MiG-15 and F-86 versions also.

This is crap, and filler, like the other Flaming Cliffs aircraft.

And I'm not discussing that in terms of some capabilities, along those lines. Not at all, I'm simply mentioning also what everyone else involved with this game/simulator already knows: everyone is interested more in the full-fidelity aircraft, no one likes the Flaming Cliffs aircraft more. The only reason why someone would possibly is if they only like the types of aircraft that only come in that version (?) something along those lines, or they don't have VR, headtracker, or eyetracker etc.

Another reason why I think this jet is sort of stupid is, it's pretty obscure. Only two countries use it, and technically the other one isn't an Su-33 but the J-whatever used by China. If you really want to get a Flaming Cliffs jet, get the Su-27 instead. The rest are probably pretty much worthless. Not because I dislike the types of aircraft they are, except the A-10A (which I've come to hate, the actual aircraft whether it's in a game, sim or in reality) which is redundant.

So anyway, don't purchase this. For several reasons, the last of which I'll mention for now is in order to boycott all Eagle Dynamics products. They are an unethical company, for various reasons.

There's not much point in this, even if you mostly fly older aircraft without their own GPS/INS stuff. Don't buy it, it's a waste.

It really needs an update/fix.

Don't purchase the MiG-21 in its current state (or ever, if you want to boycott Eagle Dynamics, which I'd also suggest), unless you're that big of a fan of the jet. It's a very iconic aircraft and was used by a million different countries, so I can understand, I think it's really neat also. That's even more of a reason why I ought to negatively review this, it's too important of an aircraft to not care about getting right.

For laymen (myself included), for starters the sound is horrible and needs to be fixed. It only sounds halfway decent with a sound mod, which you can find here: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3308486/. I was having an issue with it not passing the multiplayer integrity check thing sometimes.

I've always really liked this aircraft, it's probably the most important Eastern/"Red" warplane of the 1960s and 1970s. It's the most-produced supersonic jet ever, over 11,000.

According to folks who sound like they've done their homework, there is a serious flaw with the MiG-21 flight model. Being a layman on the topic myself, after specifically reading through one individual's post(s) I came away with a basic understanding of some of their points.

There were other random complaints about the performance of the jet as well, some of which probably coincides with the thread above. Regardless of how well you understand all of it or not, it's irresponsible to not consider their arguments and simply take the developer/producer at face value.

This jet allows the pilot to bomb stuff easier than the F-5, it has some type of system that is like CCIP for bombing and unguided rocket shooting. Of course, it can't hold many bombs but it's still neat it has that. It can also be armed with an anti-ship missile, but this variant of the aircraft isn't supposed to be able to actually use that.

Speaking of which, many DCS MiG-21 pilots have reported various bugs with the functionality of the aircraft. I haven't even used it enough to even notice any yet, but that's also unfortunate to take notice of.

What I'd really like for you people/them to add into DCS is the Su-22 Fitter, Su-24 Fencer, and/or Su-25 Frogfoot. Last I checked, most of the aircraft Eagle Dynamics or one of its third party developers have planned I'm not interested in at all except the MiG-29, and Tornado (kind of, about the Tornado IDS).

A very significant update of this MiG-21 would be great also, but if it's that significant they wouldn't be generous enough to not charge a lot for it. Ridiculous, huh?

Please, don't rush the full-fidelity MiG-29. I hope ED makes the MiG-29 as perfect as the A-10C module is supposed to be.

I could've put something stupid here like "full-fidelity MiG-29, when?"... maybe they need to slow down and focus more on finishing up/"perfecting" aircraft instead of churning out new ones that are considered below their standards. I hope they treat the MiG-29 like one of their annoying children.

But anyway, don't buy this unless perhaps you're that big of a fan of the jet and/or you're an Eagle Dynamics shill. To be fair, the Flaming Cliffs aircraft are rather impressive for what they are, but not compared to the full fidelity ones. That's not mostly why I'm saying not to purchase the Flaming Cliffs MiG-29.

The Flaming Cliffs MiG-29 is rather impressive with how it feels. I don't have much experience with it but in the short time I used it it seemed interesting to fly despite the systems etc. not being modeled mostly like the full-fidelity DCS aircraft.

At least this isn't as much of a waste of time as the Flaming Cliffs A-10, or newer Flaming Cliffs MiG-15, F-86, and F-5 would be since there's already full fidelity versions that are so much more engrossing, and because there are so few Eastern/"Red"/whatever types of aircraft. There should be full fidelity versions of all of the Eastern Flaming Cliffs aircraft including the Su-25, Su-27 and this.

The MiG-29 is one of my favorite planes. That's probably why it's the only Flaming Cliffs aircraft I have. That's also probably why Eagle Dynamics will shelve the project for the full-fidelity MiG they have planned, if they ever find out I like it. I'm not joking. That means they'll also never make an Su-24, Su-25, and others I had mentioned if *they* see it, although to be fair it's also possibly because of some stupid Russian laws about getting the proper data and info on them.

They should fix that problem by not being based in Russia at all and move any of their people out of there.

I thought that some westerners are even qualified to work on Su-27s for example, among others. Is there not enough public info on these Eastern warplanes? Some of which in question aren't even that new whatsoever and every adversary on the planet probably knows all about them anyway?

The Russians are that paranoid about the public at large knowing about some warplanes that aren't even new whatsoever, like for example from the early 2000s or late 1990s. Ridiculous.

Which is why the full-fidelity MiG-29 will only be the earliest variant of it from the early 80s or whatever. I don't personally mind that much, I'd like any MiG-29, just pointing out how ridiculous the reason for this is.

These jets stink. They look too tacky, cheesy, etc. inside and out.

The symbology on the HUDs on some of them have misleading or tacky/worthless info. For example, it should be easier and more useful, the symbol for showing where your targeting camera is currently looking. You shouldn't need to guess which way to turn, it should have something on the edge of the HUD pointing where it's at, yeah?

Which brings me to another point, the 1st person view in the Redfor fighter is very bad and it doesn't look nice anyway. It's also very bad in the Greenfor fighter, and it also is aesthetically trashy regardless of the visibility. It's not very enjoyable.

In addition, the cannons on the fighters are nerfed (what should be more multirole than they seemingly are, but, "game balance"). They should be a useful weapon to strafe ground targets with. They don't do much except tickle the enemy more or less, sometimes actually killing 1 or 2 infantry if you sit there precisely peppering them that takes too long. Pathetic "game balance". I thought this was supposed to be Arma, not Battlefield or Squad?

The little scenarios that came with it are stupid also, very tacky. And wouldn't even be very useful to new players, as there's nothing about it in the tutorials which focus on mostly everything else, which makes sense though for sure since jets are more of a secondary thing.

Arma should be a dry, relatively realistic shooter/sandbox, not filled with tacky Top Gun nonsense. They should focus more on the jets which actually have more of a place in Arma, either that or do not nerf the faster jets for the ground attack role.

The aircraft carrier is lame also. It's a gimmick and doesn't have much actual function aside from some aesthetics that don't even fit into Arma in my view. I think the carrier would be much further away from the island than where it usually is parked in scenarios in this, and doesn't even move around usually. It's not very immersive.

They should focus more (or solely) on CAS/attack jets and drones.

I randomly started up the game and my saves got deleted. It said there was an error with my profile and a new one has been created, something along those lines.

It might be the worst Doom anyway.

It STINKS. I hate this game's face, I'm glad I picked it up for free though so I could leave this nasty review for it.

I was surprised at a few moments along the way, but not really overall whatsoever. I gave it a chance. However, several of my suspicions were entirely confirmed. Much of it was how I expected, enough to come away very securely in posting this review.

It's copaganda. It's also privileged hipster garbage. The characters are annoying as hell and are garbage, particularly Alyson and her police chief God-daddy.

One of the only good things about this game is the graphics. I would say the "atmosphere" also but, not so fast.

The plot sucks and is not introduced in a very elegant manner. I'm not talking about most of the documents and stuff but some of the notes near the end that are somewhat vague and particularly, this book from the the siblings' childhood the game expects you to read through or look at. I didn't and just looked up every puzzle solution immediately.

To be fair, I may have missed some of the plot because I simply didn't care enough about it to be interested enough to pay attention to it at times. I suppose it would be very unfair for me to review this without paying attention to it as thoroughly enough, in my view, as I had. Good enough still, it's difficult and often pointless to be try to be genuinely interested in things that one is not interested in whatsoever. I gave it a chance.

Something else that makes no sense in this is the transsexual (am I not allowed to say that? ridiculous) male character named Tyler wants to get with a dude. Last I checked, pretty much 99/100 times women transition to being men because they are... get this.. gay (lesbian). Sometimes it's a matter of "fitting in" more from a distance in society because of society drilling it into everyone's heads that gay, etc. is an insult. Perhaps for some folks it's easier to appear assimilated from a distance sometimes as opposed to something more natural.

Sometimes for similar reasons, some folks who "identify" as a Furry refuse to identify as gay even though they probably are in addition to whatever else they claim to "identify" as. Notice about the lack of quotation marks around the other part because it's a legitimate biological attribute one has, unlike "identifying" as a Furry which is some relatively recent cultural thing that is not equivalent whatsoever. Also, very few of you had much to do with what happened in the 70s and 80s and the civil rights pioneers who led the way for you to waltz into.

For similar reasons as well, "straight" dudes who clearly aren't what they claim to identify as when that's not actually the case (do I need to explain the quotation marks) retreat back into the closet in order to further assimilate because of it being drilled into their heads that gay is primarily a pejorative by the rest of a bigoted theocratic society.

So anyway, yes, I hate the plot. Why? Is the REAL REASON something I'm not willing to acknowledge here? If so, what is it pray tell? Let me go into some more detail then.

This is a story about two schizophrenic siblings with telepathic abilities they acquired from a government research lab who grew up and lived in a small and hateful podunk town in Alaska, filled with a bunch of rednecks, transphobic Karens, and perverted fishermen. Their mother died, who was somewhat out of place in this podunk town, and now they're sad. The local police chief was their godfather, he's an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and his name is Eddy. You'll encounter some other randos in this town and most of them are also pretty hateable people. This is clear-cut copaganda like some cookie-cutter copaganda show on TV also, another strike against it.

I thought all along that the real father was who it turned out to be. I also have no idea how the mother lost her [blank]. You'll have to play this piece of ♥♥♥♥ to find out more (read more stuff in it and pay more attention to it than I did I guess, I don't know how something that important can be hidden away and not talked about by the characters much though, but ok). But I think watching a marathon of Maury Povich would be more ideal.

I always thought that there would be a moment where you are tasked with breaking into the armory at the police station in order to obtain some heavy firepower to shoot up the place with. That'd be a great idea for this and would've made the game more interesting. But, in the end, this is an extremely depressing, dreary, god awful damn soap opera piece of ♥♥♥♥. At least soap operas have that calming lighting.

Also, please don't feel like you need to put more than 4 letters in the acronym. It's ridiculous that some individuals actually feel the need to or have some problem with folks who point this out. Well, you can be sure that my motivation is not out of any hatred or bigotry, as that wouldn't even make any sense if you understand who I am as well. With that unpleasantness and "disclaimer" out of the way that I shouldn't feel the need to have to say in the first place: some of those letters are just synonyms of "gay" anyway and it applies in addition to the "T" part.

But again, like I said, over generations including even recent ones, it's been drilled into everyone's heads that gay is an insult and therefore the self-label will be avoided more often, and again, in part in order to appear assimilated from a distance. The other excessive letters past the 4 in the acronym are either synonyms or very select groups that have nothing or very little to do with the LGBT civil rights movement.

And no, it's irrelevant about responding to my point by describing for example, an asexual person being an activist for said cause. That's fine, I'm not dismissing anyone's efforts whatsoever. But, come on folks, their issue has nothing to do with the rest of it.

When have you heard someone berate people for being asexual? Never? Once by chance, maybe? Ok.

When have you heard someone berate gays, lesbians, transsexuals, etc.? Always, every day, including in your "escapist" game servers that naturally ooze out political views that the bigots won't admit to. Then, mention something about Trump, or whoever or whatever, and "the sky is falling, I'm scared". The escapism myth, very pathetic.

Moving on. Compared to their other titles, I guess this is "moderate" in a sense. It might not push as many conservative "buttons" as their other titles (if this is even the same dev that I'm thinking of?) despite what it depicts. Maybe the copaganda balances it all out. Just something to consider for the CHUDs out there.

Another thought about this... if this was advised by, among others, some mental health professionals or organization, like the thing with the annoying "breathing" sequence, etc... big deal. Many of them are quacks.

"Cultural" advisors. I wonder what that entails? Am I supposed to assume that these people speak for everyone and think I'm supposed to believe that their experiences or the ones they possibly envision is all that's there? Let me bow down right now then.
