It's Factorio. What did you expect. Go play. Don't watch stupid "things you need to know before playing" on YT.

Refunding the game. I really wanted to have fun with the series for the first time. Constant drops in FPS under 60 with stuttering on 4090 is no bueno.

I gave it a shot despite it being published by Paradox. The moment there's a DLC that isn't a major expansion (and AFTER game is out of EA) I'll just swap it to a negative.

The game has potential. It's a blend of Minecraft (destructible cube world), Factorio (science design), Satisfactory (alternate recipes) and maybe DSP (though I'm on T3 I think I'm just about to unlock drones, which is DSPs way of long distance transportation).

Stuff I didn't like so far:
- No idea if it's my bad luck or if all seeds are like that, but mine sucks so far - placed in a crater surrounded by huge mountains so I have to dig/blast my way out.
- Vertical belts are unlocked after you need to dig deep to underground deposits (well, don't need to but beats going way across the map) so I spent a good hour blasting and building a tunnel
- Fluids have no logic and I haven't figured out what's the point of pumps. Fluids will just flow. My oil-jacks just happily pump 300m up. The pipes also don't seem to have any capacity limit, one pipe to rule them all.

500 USD. That's how much you would need to pay to get all the content without discounts. 250 USD in the "get everything package". Good game but holy crap. Sure, a lot of it is useless radio stations and skins, but being gutted by a game you like for $12 every month or two is predatory.

This isn't a bad game. First of all, a lot of positive reviews seem fake - "the best factory game out there", seriously? People with 1000h played?

The biggest flaw are the default settings - audio is completely off, gamma set to 0 makes it a blank screen, screen usage/scaling puts the UI at the middle making it unplayable, FOV set to 30 just makes the game graphics look WAAAAAY worse than they actually are. Those things should be fixed before launch. Especially since you had testers racking up 100-1000h in the game.

There are few things that are simply annoying. The game lacks some basics, like showing production rate. Another thing is that every UI screen takes THE ENTIRE SCREEN. Cool if the scaling worked for it, but it doesn't - you want to see inventory? You will see huge pixelated boxes on the entire screen. Next thing that just makes you think what was the purpose is the research. So far it's done by building flashy cubes - they don't have intake, they don't do anything, they are just there AND you need to build X amount to unlock some researchables. Why would you implement something like that in a game that starts in a cave?

At this point it's a no for me. Especially with the fake reviews flying around. DSP on the original launch was multiple times more polished, the graphics were way better, the UI didn't make you think you were back in year 2000. If you really want a factory game in a cave, give it a go. If you want the best factory game, go for Factorio, If you want the best 3d factory game, go Dyson Sphere Program. If you want chill 3d factory game with limited mechanics but probably best 3d graphics, go Satisfactory. On this one I'll probably wait few updates.

It is beyond me why did they have to butcher the combat system. Apart from that it's a lovely game.

Just... no... the intro story is just horrible - your mother drops you off at grandparents, father didn't bother to even come. Farm is a mess because grandparents don't give a crap, went for vacation, expect their grandchild to clean and repair entire farm. I guess the studio wanted to do something "new" in the genre? Instead of usual "start little, go big" you just start in the middle of a completed farm, there are even whole fields of grown vegetables. Some buildings are "destroyed" but you pretty much can fix them on the spot. I really couldn't force myself to play longer. Also, there's a pile of items you can gather around the farm, starting with trash left by whoever partied on the farm, through different milk containers to boxes, hay... It doesn't feel fun, it feels like an overwhelming chore.

The answer to everything is 42. So is aparently time required to complete the game 100% on a chill speed.

Completed it on Steam Deck alone and it has been a lot of fun. No missable achievements is a big plus. My tip is to have Food/Water off. It doesn't make the game harder, it just makes it longer because you need to go to your base just to replenish supplies. You will still get jumped by the monsters either way.

The game is fun. Sometimes a bit slow and you might not know exactly what to do next. That's where the exploration kicks in, you swim around, you get a message and you can follow that. Game is very balanced though it sometimes doesn't feel like it. It's very fun to overcome the obstacles that come as you dive further into the game. What seems impossible at first, through progress becomes easier. Very rewarding experience.

Step 1: Change mouse sensitivity from default (it was something like 10% for me for some reason).

Style feels like a direct clone of Subnautica. Enjoyable open world survival but I'm completely unsure why it's displayed as "Similar game" to likes of Satisfactory or Dyson Sphere Program. This is not an automation game. Everything you will do will be manual (peak of automation is a miner from which you have to pick up stuff manually AND a machine that combines nearby stored items into products).

Takes about 30h to complete 100% achievements if you play it for the first time and you didn't use any guides. I currently have almost 40h on the clock because it was idling for one night to close the gap between last 2 milestones (since the game is not finished yet, it takes a while and there's nothing to do in between).
